No matter what class of region, there are going to be football players who are starting to turn heads.
As we have done throughout much of the off-season, we have brought you plenty of talent from across Florida who will impact rosters this coming season.
With our team profiles and daily spotlight coverage, we bring by far more talent statewide for everyone to keep an eye on.
With the rising senior class continuing to get plenty of coverage, today we turn our attention to the Class of 2024 in south Florida.
Miami-Dade and Broward Counties are always stacked with elite players who find their way to the next level – and often – beyond.
Here are five rising juniors to keep your eye on this coming season:
T.J. Capers, OLB/DE, 6-3, 210, Miami Christopher Columbus. A major talent that has caught the attention of just about every college in the country. This is an outstanding football player who already has a year under his belt – and as he continues to mature and get bigger, he will certainly add to what he already brings to the table for the Explorers. This is a big-time talent who will continue to make a name for himself over the next two seasons.

Colton Heinrich Colton Heinrich 6'4" | 230 lbs | TE Cardinal Gibbons | 2024 State FL , TE, 6-4, 215, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. An extremely athletic talent who will take over this year – and when he does – everyone will see what he brings to the table. While he is listed as a receiver as well as a tight end, you will see him get bigger and put on more weight this coming season – cementing his tight end status. Watched him as a sophomore and his agility and ability to make plays started to surface. Over the next two years you will see him turn heads in every game at every event he attends. Still raw, but that is changing daily.

Joshua Lloyd, DE, 6-2.5, 225, Fort Lauderdale Dillard. After a stellar season at Deerfield Beach, this gifted young man makes the move south to join a Panther team that added some quality talent this off-season. One of the best edge rushers in the region and college coaches are watching and appreciating what he does. In addition to what he brings to the table as a football player, his 4.5 GPA in the classroom will continue to open doors.

Chance Robinson, WR, 6-2, 180, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas. Watching this gifted prospect since his 9th grade year, there was never any doubt how impressive he was going to be. With the Raiders loaded at the receiver position, this playmaker does what it takes to get open and make positives happen. Whether it’s in a camp or combine setting, practice or game, this is someone who relishes the spotlight and stepping up. Truly like his game – and it’s only improving every day.

Vincent Shavers, LB, 6-1, 205, Miami Monsignor Pace. From his play at the youth league level as a marquee running back – to Tru Prep and now with the Spartans as one of the elite linebackers, this is someone who is way under the radar as far as exposure. There are few linebackers and athletes in this class who can match what he brings to the table. Other than a few local people, his name has not been out there, but trust his – he is a national prospect more than capable of playing against anyone, and over the next two years, he will continue to show it.
