It is there that seven linemen each find themselves inside the overall top 50 in our latest rankings update. These seven are experienced, big and seemingly doing more and more for their respective teams.
Christian Echols Christian Echols 6'4" | 250 lbs | OL Silver Bluff | 2024 State SC , Silver Bluff (No. 44 overall)
The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder (and likely much heavier by the time the season starts) has one of those long frames that college programs drool over. Basically, a year in a more intense weight room scenario could have him looking like a beast in no time.
D’Arcii Smith D’Arcii Smith 6'5" | 295 lbs | OL Summerville | 2024 State SC , Summerville (No. 41 overall)
When we added Smith to the rankings last January, it was because of his sheer size. And it’s not like he’s no longer 6-foot-5 and pushing 300 pounds. Smith is a developing talent, to be sure, but the offseason program has him looking like potential star.
Braydn Kesselring Braydn Kesselring 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Midland Valley | 2024 State SC , Midland Valley (No. 39 overall)
As Midland Valley’s program continues to elevate, Kesselring’s does the same. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound tackle is a punishing blocker who keeps his momentum going downfield – something that’s key in this movement-heavy offense.
Slayton Stokes Slayton Stokes 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL Hartsville | 2024 State SC , Hartsville (No. 12 overall)
Stokes (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) is blocking for two of the best tailbacks in the state. And while the wing offense Hartsville runs is responsible for some of their yards, top-notch offensive line play is top-notch offensive line play, no matter how you slice it.
Josiah Thompson Josiah Thompson 6'7" | 290 lbs | OL Dillon | 2024 State SC , Dillon (No. 8 overall)
Thompson is a casual kid, that is, until the ball is snapped. At 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds and starting at left tackle as a sophomore, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why he has offers from Big 10, SEC, ACC and Big XII schools.
Braylen Kitty Braylen Kitty 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Hilton Head | 2024 State SC , Hilton Head (No. 4 overall)
Hilton Head coach BJ Payne has found himself swamped with college recruiters the last three seasons. Kitty is the next reason why. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound left tackle already has a pair of SEC offers under his belt.
Kam Pringle Kam Pringle 6'7" | 305 lbs | OL Woodland | 2024 State SC , Woodland (No. 1 overall)
Pringle dominates just about every room he walks into. That’s because at 6-foot-7 and close to 330 pounds now, he’s bigger than just about anyone else in whatever room he walks into. Yet, his size is only part of the reason we’ve kept him at No. 1 overall in our 2024 rankings.
