Jake Doty Jake Doty 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Myrtle Beach | 2023 State SC , WR, Myrtle Beach: Doty’s one of those “how did he get so open?” guys. His size might not command attention, but his play sure does. He had 24 catches for 422 yards and 10 TDs a year ago, the majority of those on plays where he just flat ran past defenders. He’s quick, he can go up and get 50/50 balls, and he’s a nightmare in the open field.
Kenneth Jefferson Kenneth Jefferson 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2023 State SC , RB, Spring Valley: Jefferson has a tremendous burst, and can go from nothing to top speed in a big hurry. He had more than 700 yards on the ground last season, a lot of it between the tackles. He has an uncanny knack for finding the hole and splitting defenders, and if you’re lucky enough to get a hand on him, he’s physical enough to run through you. He’s an adept receiver out of the backfield as well.
Deshun Corry Deshun Corry 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Gaffney | 2023 NC , WR, Gaffney: Speed. Size. Ball Skills. Corry has plenty of all three for Gaffney. He was a big target as the year went on for the Indians, and his 445 receiving yards and two scores showed that. One of the touchdowns was a 90-yarder that completely flipped the momentum of Gaffney’s win over Dorman, and Corry caught a crucial two-point conversion in the Indians’ 22-19 5A state title win.
Deuce Hudson Deuce Hudson 6'0" | 165 lbs | QB West Florence | 2023 State SC , QB, West Florence: A true throwback, Hudson (pictured) is a three-sport standout. He’s an all-state basketball player for the Knights, an accomplished baseball player, and his play on the football field is opening some eyes. Hudson is a true dual-threat QB, and his running ability makes him difficult to scheme for. When he throws it, he’s good at moving the pocket, throwing on the run, and getting rid of the ball in a hurry.
Henry Evans Henry Evans 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Kingstree | 2023 State SC , WR, Kingstree: Evans is a long, rangy receiver with good speed who does a lot of things well. He played some wildcat QB and DB last year for C.E. Murray in addition to being a go-to receiver. With this year’s consolidation with Kingstree, Murray is in a position to be an even bigger weapon on the offensive side of the ball.
