The Future Stars Game started as an event to provide a student-athlete with an elite event in a college environment. It has quickly become a must-see event, if you want to know who the next greats are. Here is a look at the 2026 Running Backs, selected to play on the 8th grade Georgia Future Stars team.
Cedarius Johnson Cedarius Johnson 5'10" | 140 lbs | RB GA
A very complete Running Back, Johnson looks like a prospect about to break out once he hits the high school level. Johnson was named the MVP of the Future Stars Game back as a sixth grader and has continued to ascend. Now, standing 5-foot-7 and 165 pounds, he’s starting to come into his own. Future Stars Team Director Valister Wilson likened Johnson to NFL Hall of Famer, Eric Dickerson.
Christian Nix
Nix is a speedster that Georgia Future Stars coaches are excited about having tote the rock. The Albany native stands 5-foot-9 and 185-chiseled pounds. In addition to his great size, Nix is a speedster all the the way and has the ability to bust open some big gainers. Though his forty was just a 5.09, he’s one prospect where his game speed is significantly faster than the raw testing numbers.
Travis English
Rounding out the trio of Running Backs selected, English brings a little bit of both Johnson’s and Nix’s game to the field. English measured in at 5-foot-7 and 185-pounds, while running a 4.88 in the forty yard dash. He has the sudden burst and muscle to run between the tackles like Johnson, and the breakaway speed of Nix. He’s going to make the most of his opportunities, without question.
