Jr, Riley Gunnels Riley Gunnels 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Ocean City | 2023 State NJ , Ocean City
Mr. Gunnels had a solid junior season. He led the Red Raiders to the second round of the post season. Gunnels has a strong arm and decision making abilities. He has good size and athleticism as well. Gunnels is incredibly accurate on the run while throwing the deep ball. He does a good job taking what the defense gives him and reading progressions. Gunnels finished his junior year going 73-140, 1253 yards, 17 TD’s and 3 INT’s. He has tremendous upside heading into next season. Gunnels should be very confident and relaxed at this point in his career. Watch out Gunnels to have big senior season.
Jr, Jack Grusser Jack Grusser 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Ramapo | 2023 State NJ , Ramapo
Mr. Grusser had an impressive season and led his team to a state final appearance. Grusser is a dual- threat with good speed and arm strength. He is very poise in the pocket displaying calm feet. Grusser can tuck and run if need be and will make defenders miss in open space. Grusser finished the year going 170-258, 2693 yards, 32 TD’s and 5 INT’s from under center. On the ground, he had 86 carries for 752 yards and 12 TD’s. Grusser is on pace to have a memorable senior year and wouldn’t be surprised if he breaks a few school records. Make sure you keep your eyes on this kid.
Jr, Mike Olivo, Ridge
Mr. Olivo had a solid junior season and has seen action since a sophomore. He is a versatile athlete that also plays defense. Olivo does a good job reading his keys and making smart decisions. He is a precise passer in short and intermediate throws. Olivo is dangerous on the ground carrying the ball for 122 carries , 961 yards and 16 TD’s. He doubled his rushing touchdowns from his sophomore season. Through the air, Olivo went 57-100, 947 yards, 9 TD’s and 8 INT’s. Olivo has progressed every year and will continue to do so next season.
Jr, Ben Solimini, East Brunswick
Mr. Solimini had a good year for his first season starting varsity. Solimini can simply beat you with his legs or his arm. He does a good job not relying on one aspect of his game. Solimini really understands the game well and is poise and confident. He has good speed to create separation, arm strength and accuracy on his throws. He finished the year going 34-74, 495 yards , 6 TD’s and 2 INT’s from under center. On the ground is where he really thrived. Solimini had 841 yards and 10 touchdowns on 95 carries. You should expect Solimini to have productive and successful senior season.
