Mason Cumbie | 6’2’’ 180 lbs | Hopewell High School | Class of 2023
Cumbie is the 2nd ranked Quarterback in the Class of 2023. He was named to the VHSL Class 3 2nd Team All State Team as an Offense All Purpose Player. He totaled 2,140 yards of offense last season with 1,525 yards in the air, and 615 yards on the ground. Cumbie is an athlete who makes Defensive Coordinators hold their breath when he gets in the open field. This Dual Threat QB is also the 55 meter Hurdle 3A State Champion in VA, and a 2 time hurdle Regional Champion. He currently has an offer from Kent St, a Track offer from Virginia Union, and is receiving interest from Virginia Tech and Marshall.
Connor Lange | 6’2’’ 200 lbs | North Cross High School | Class of 2023
(See Coach Ferrell’s Notes) Lange is one of the top Dual Threat Quarterbacks in the state of Virginia. He threw for 1,523 yards in the air and ran for over 500 yards on the ground. Lange is not just an athlete who can make plays with his legs, he is one of the more prolific passers in the state. He has the 2nd highest passing rating among returning QBs with 119.7, and completed 124 passes on 190 attempts for 65 percent. He also was responsible for 22 passing touchdowns and only had 4 interceptions. The North Cross junior led his team to a 10-2 record before losing in the State Championships to Atlantic Shores Christian. Lange was also named 1st Team All State and 1st Team All Conference.
Malik Holmes | 5’10’’ 175 lbs | King and Queen Central High School | Class of 2023
Homes is one of the best overall athletes in the state and a recruit that college coaches need to take a serious look at. He may play Defensive Back at the next level, but he is one of the top Dual Threat QBs in the state. He earned 1st Team All State on Offense and Defense, plus won Region A Defensive Player of the Year. He accounted for 2,120 total yards of offense by throwing for 1,121 passing yards, running for 814 yards on the ground, and scored a total of 27 touchdowns. On defense his stats were equally impressive, he finished with a total of 100 tackles and 7 interceptions.
Ethan Minter Ethan Minter 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Thomas Dale | 2024 State VA | 6’1’’ 190 lbs | Thomas Dale High School | Class of 2024
Minter is the top ranked Quarterback in the Class of 2024 and was named 6A 2nd Team All Region last season. He accounted for 1,912 of the team’s total yards on offense by completing 90 of his 138 attempts for 1,112 passing yards and threw 9 touchdowns. On the ground, he rushed for 800 yards, averaged 10.8 yards per carry, and scored 12 rushing touchdowns. He has an offer from Old Dominion, and is also receiving interest from Virginia Tech and James Madison.
Caleb Alexander Caleb Alexander 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Brentsville District | 2024 State VA | 5’11’’ 165 lbs | Brentsville District | Class of 2024
Alexander was named First Team All Region All Purpose Player and First Team Northwestern 3A All District Offensive All Purpose Player last season. The 4th ranked QB in the Class of 2024, he tallied 1,886 yards of total offense. 1,300 of those yards came in the air and the other 586 yards came on the ground from the 4.0 GPA student.
