Jr., Jaleel Patrick Jaleel Patrick 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Penns Grove | 2023 State NJ , Pennsgrove
Mr. Patrick had a solid junior season. He is no stranger to the varsity level. Patrick has seen significant action since his freshman year and has improved dramatically through the years. Patrick is a versatile athlete with good speed and quickness. He does many things well and is used as their playmaker. Patrick can catch out of the backfield and can be utilized as a return specialist as well. He finished the year with 912 yards on 118 carries and 9 TD’s. Also, hauled in 22 catches for 327 yards and 4 TD’s. As a return specialist, he returned four kick returns for a touchdown. Patrick can be utilized in many different ways will be a key factor for the Red Devils next season.
Jr., Justin Brown Justin Brown 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Triton | 2023 State NJ , Triton
Mr. Brown had an impressive season in 2021. He is a three- year starter that runs with a purpose. Brown does a good job being physical and making defenders miss. He has good vision and patience to allow holes to develop. Brown does not hesitate and has a quick first step. He finished his junior year with 1,135 yards on 171 carries and five touchdowns. Also, had 12 receptions for 134 yards and a score. Brown is a player you should keep your eyes on. He is poised to have a spectacular senior year.
So., Izzy Hernandez Izzy Hernandez 6'1" | 210 lbs | DL Eastern | 2024 NJ , Eastern
Mr. Hernandez made the most of his first year on varsity. He is a fierce competitor that has good top end speed and elusiveness. Hernandez does a good job running with good pad level. In fact, he doesn’t get tackled very easily. Hernandez is the type of player that will not let one player bring him down because constantly keeps his feet moving. He finished his sophomore year with 89 carries with 442 yards and 6 TDs. Hernandez is just scratching the surface of his true potential. Make sure you keep your eyes on this kid as we get closer to the season.
Jr., Marlon Leslie, Mainland
Mr. Leslie had a solid junior season. He is good athlete with good size and quickness. Leslie doesn’t shy away from contact and is more of the initiator. Leslie has a good feel for the game and understands defensive fronts. He does a good job running downhill and does not take unnecessary steps. When Leslie sees the hole develop he does not hesitate to get upfield. Leslie finished the year with 562 yards on 80 carries with 7 TD’s. He is set to play a huge role for the Mustangs this season and should expect Leslie to take on the challenge. Make sure you keep your eyes on Leslie as we move closer to the season.
