On Sunday, the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder may have taken his recruiting to another level after posting an eye-popping 40-yard dash time at the ESPN 300 Elite Underclassmen Camp in Kansas City.
Love, who won the Missouri Class 5 100-yard dash championship (10.76 seconds) as a sophomore last spring, reportedly ran the 40 in an electronically-timed 4.38 seconds.
That could open up even more opportunities for Love, who already has more than 30 scholarship offers from coast to coast. He has offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, LSU, Penn State, USC, Oregon, Michigan, Arkansas, Tennessee and Stanford among others.
Love, who could end up playing running back, wide receiver, safety or cornerback in college, racked up 1,099 total yards (996 rushing, 103 receiving) and team-high 14 touchdowns in 12 games as a junior and helped lead CBC to the state championship.
2025 KC AREA STANDOUT LANDS FIRST OFFER
There were several impressive prospects on display in Kansas City on Sunday, including Lee’s Summit North 2025 defensive tackle Ka’Mori Moore Ka’Mori Moore 6'1" | 285 lbs | DL Lee's Summit North | 2025 State MO .
Moore, a 6-1, 295-pounder who had 10 tackles on varsity and is ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 11 overall prospect in Missouri in the Class of 2025, showed enough on Sunday to land his first scholarship offer.
Moore announced on Twitter he had received an offer from Iowa State, a Big 12 program that had a lot of success recruiting the Kansas City area in the latest recruiting cycle.
WEST PLAINS RECEIVER ADDS TO OFFER LIST
April has already been a good month for West Plains 2023 tight end Watson Hafer Watson Hafer 6'4" | 210 lbs | TE West Plains | 2023 State MO .
Hafer, a 6-4, 205-pounder who plays wide receiver, tight end and outside linebacker, went into the month with scholarship offers from Missouri S&T and Southwest Baptist but has since emerged as a Division I prospect with offers from Lindenwood, Eastern Illinois, Southeast Missouri State and Missouri State.
Hafer recorded 17 catches for 296 yards and five touchdowns and averaged 17.4 yards per reception as a junior. His impressive junior film shows him being physical as a run blocker and dynamic with the ball in his hands, either on short screens or catching passes downfield. He will be an interesting player to watch this offseason.
BLUE SPRINGS’ TAPUSOA HAS BIG MONTH
Blue Springs 2023 running back-linebacker Lamana Tapusoa Lamana Tapusoa 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Blue Springs | 2023 HI had a good month of March.
Tapusoa received his first offer, from Nevada, last April. It would take 11 months, surprisingly, for the talented two-way prospect to add another offer, but it would be worth the wait.
The Blue Springs standout added offers from Princeton, Columbia and Air Force during the month of March, which speaks to his standing as a high-academic prospect in addition to his ability on the football field.
CARTHAGE STANDOUT OFFERED BY AIR FORCE
Carthage 2023 two-way standout Luke Gall Luke Gall 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Carthage | 2023 State MO had one of the best junior campaigns of any player in the state last fall, excelling at running back and linebacker and being honored as the Class 5 offensive player of the year.
Gall’s recruitment has picked up some momentum over the past few months.
He received an offer from New Mexico State in January, an offer from Southeast Missouri State in mid February and an offer from Division II Pittsburgh State a few weeks later. On April 1, he received his second FBS offer from Air Force.
UNSIGNED 2022 CLARK ADDS OFFER
Lafayette 2022 football and basketball player Jack Clark Jack Clark 6'7" | 235 lbs | OL Lafayette | 2022 MO is a unique prospect at 6-7 and 235 pounds with a strong academic resume to go along with his potential in two sports. Clark is a left tackle and long snapper in football and a forward-center in basketball.
Clark reported an offer from Washington University on September 28, but remained unsigned and uncommitted through Signing Day in February. Recently, on March 28, he reported an offer from Fordham University of the Patriot League.
It remains unseen what Clark will decide to do, but he could be a nice addition for someone late in the 2022 recruiting cycle.
