Every Friday in March and April, we’ll take an in-depth look at prospects across Oklahoma. Each week, we’ll ask for prospects who want their hudl film to be evaluated by us and in these posts, we’ll have some form of a scouting report on each prospect. Each week we’ll be doing this, so if you’ve reached out and are not listed this week, there’s a good chance you’ll be in next week’s feature. Our inbox was absolutely flooded with film over the last week so we have plenty of prospects to get to throughout March and April. This is also a great way for us to see some of the prospects that we haven’t either seen or in some cases, haven’t heard of yet. We can always be better covering the state and this is a great way to see some new players across Oklahoma. (Part 1)

Evan Hamilton – 2023 Athlete – Mount Saint Mary
Kicking this week off, the first athlete we evaluated was Evan Hamilton from Mount St. Mary. Hamilton stands in at 5’7″ and 160 pounds and plays slot wide receiver/outside linebacker. Hamilton does a good job at reading his keys to get into the fits and flow of his opponent. He doesn’t just run upfield to create running lanes for the ball carrier. This is an important fundamental as an outside linebacker and Hamilton does a good job of identifying his key, along with his run fit. As an outside linebacker, you have to be patient (freeze/fold) with flow away in case of reverse or the ball carrier cuts back to your direction. Hamilton does a good job of playing freeze/fold from his outside linebacker position. On the offensive side of the ball, Hamilton catches the ball with his hands and gets it to his body quickly. I would like to see more coverage skills on his highlight tape to watch his hip movement in the passing game. Hamilton is a bit undersized to play outside linebacker, I would project him at playing corner.
Boston Carrasco Boston Carrasco 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Union | 2025 State OK – 2025 Athlete – Jenks
We had the chance to evaluate Boston Carrasco Boston Carrasco 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Union | 2025 State OK , 2025 athlete, from Jenks for this weeks film review. Carrasco can play running back, wide receiver, slot receiver, punt returner, kick returner, and even threw a pass. It was fun to be able to watch his film with him lining up all over the field to find matchup issues. Carrasco has good inside vision between the tackles and sticks his foot quickly to get to the second level in a hurry. He has great balance as he bounces off defenders and keeps moving forward, not backward. His ankle flexibility is good to help him with his speed and pressure cuts. Not only will Carrasco run around you or use a speed cut, but he will also lower his shoulder and likes contact. At wide receiver, it’s hard to remember he is currently a freshman as he gets off the ball quickly and gains enough separation to get the ball. At this rate, it’s hard to imagine him not having the ball in his hands at the next level. With his current frame, he will need to add more weight to keep him playing at the running back position. Jenks does return Jaiden Carroll Jaiden Carroll 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Jenks | 2023 State OK in the backfield this season so it will interesting to see where Carrasco can get on the field. We could see him still at running back, receiver, or on the defensive side of the ball this season. The 2025 class of Oklahoma High School football is starting to take shape with many talented players.
Hillman Browne – 2025 Linebacker/Fullback – Heritage Hall
Another 2025 prospect we have evaluated is Hillman Browne out of Heritage Hall. Last season Browne played football at Casady while registering 4 games as a freshman. An injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season and then he transferred to the Chargers. Browne played inside linebacker and fullback this past season weighing in at 200 pounds at 6’2″. When I first watched his tape, I could tell he was long and he looked like an outside linebacker or even defensive end with his current body frame. Browne moves well and plays sideline to sideline as an inside linebacker. He can sift through the trash which allows him to get to the ball carrier between the tackles. While playing fullback, Browne catches the ball out of the backfield well. I could see him transitioning to tight end on the offensive side especially if he continues to keep growing. A few things Browne can continue to work on for this upcoming season is being more explosive with his hips and to read and react quicker. Browne is raw at this point but has a great frame and will only be a sophomore this upcoming season. Browne will be one to keep an eye on for years to come.
Jalen Baker – 2023 OLB – Victory Christian
I was able to watch Jalen Baker, with Victory Christian, play Verdigris this past season and thought he was a talented prospect. Jalen weighs 170 pounds at 5’11” and plays outside linebacker/safety. The first thing off the hoof that impresses me about Baker is him being physical! He does a great job at setting the edge as an outside linebacker should. Baker has good coverage skills in the flats and a few downfield plays. He breaks on the ball when he should and defeats blocks out in the flat for screens and quick game. When he does attack the ball carrier he likes to play aggressively and comes off the edge like a missile on any blitzing plays. Victory will return some key pieces this next season and with Baker’s return out on the edge, I look for another dominating performance by him. An area I will keep watching for out of Baker will be his downfield coverage skills as we don’t see as much by him as a safety other than the interception I watched in person. The interesting thought about Baker is his frame. He could play corner or strong safety at the next level but being able to line him up at strong safety and put him in the box could be ideal.
Devarius Hardy Devarius Hardy 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Lawton | 2023 State OK – 2023 QB – Lawton
As we take another look at a 2023 prospect, we look at Devarius Hardy Devarius Hardy 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Lawton | 2023 State OK , quarterback out of Lawton. Hardy is a returning starter who threw for 1,375 yards with 7 touchdowns plus ran for 213 yards and a few scores. Hardy is a dual-threat quarterback and the thing I like about him is that he always keeps his eyes downfield. As a quarterback, you have to be able to have some pocket presence and know where the pressure is coming. Being able to do this, Hardy can keep plays alive as he breaks the pocket and is pointing to his wide receiver where to go. He can throw in tight windows and delivers a good ball off his back foot facing pressure in his face. Hardy stands 6’2″ at 195 pounds currently. Not many times will you find Hardy sliding or going out of bounds. Hardy needs to continue to work on taking fewer hits and slide or going out of bounds to avoid that extra contact. Hardy is continuing to develop at quarterback and we expect him to have a great senior season.
