The first thing that stands out is Pearson’s play speed. He has quickness off the line of scrimmage is outstanding. He does a great job of stopping his body and working back to the football on curl routes. Pearson can make sideline catches with ease. I like that Pearson is almost always getting separation from defensive backs. This is a great trait to have in a receiver and it shows how great his short-area acceleration is. This also makes it easy for the quarterback to complete passes since he does not have to worry about throwing into tight windows. Pearson is excellent at getting the defensive back to commit the opposite way he is going. Pearson is great on defense as well. At the cornerback position, he uses his speed and acceleration to fly up and make tackles with ease.
