Devon Bond, Jr., Toms River South
Devon is big, over 6 feet tall, and has good strength in his legs. He’s got good speed too, but doesn’t just run to daylight. He’s patient in his approach setting up his blocking and looking for cutback lanes. It’s not tentative, it’s smart. He uses the right tools at the right time. There is a maturity in his running style where he waits for the blocking to develop and then hits the hole. Looking at his film I thing his true calling is at safety and he has all the tools for it at the next level, but I’m glad we get to watch him run the rock for the next year.

Jhamier Howard Jhamier Howard 6'1" | 180 lbs | ATH Manasquan | 2023 State NJ , Jr., Manasquan
At over 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, Jhamier can be a weapon and multiple positions on the field. He takes a lot of snaps at RB, but I’d qualify him as an athlete for the next level. He’s an upright runner that’s very fluid in his movements and has the speed to pull away from defenders in the open field. He not only has the eye for cutback lanes, but has plays where he cuts all the way back across the field for big plays in the run game, averaging over 6 yards per carry. He also lined up at WR for 138 yards and 3 TDs and had a kick return for a TD this season.

Joseph ‘Jojo’ Bivins, Jr., Barnegat
Trying to tackle Bivens is like trying to catch smoke.
He’s got great top end speed so of course defenses over commit stopping the outside run, and then Jojo cuts back across the field for huge gains. He has very good footwork to set defenders up for an ankle breaking dead leg or jump cut. No blocking needed once you get him into space. Not to say his blocking is bad. Some backs can just perform outside of the blocking scheme and make things happen their own, and if you want to play at the next level it’s expected. Bivens also has workhorse numbers, with 197 carries, 1356 yards and 21 touchdowns for the Barnegat Bengals last season.

Nazir Treadwell Nazir Treadwell 6'1" | 195 lbs | RB Keyport | 2024 State NJ , So., Keyport
This young man is showing great promise for only being a sophomore. He is shifty, with great footwork behind the line of scrimmage. I saw several plays on film where he should have been tackled for a loss and turned it into a big play on agility alone. He also has good special awareness. In traffic he can avoid one tackler and get up field, not letting his feet get ‘stuck in the mud’ and accelerating out of bad situations. Nazir posted over 500 yards rushing and 8 TDs on just 84 attempts. If your scoring a TD every 10 times you touch the ball as a sophomore, your headed for big things in the future.

Keyon Tims, Jr., Lakewood
Keyon is a tough, North South runner with good leg drive. He actually looks bigger on film than his listed 180 pounds and definitely plays bigger. His strength is his inside running and his film shows multiple plays of him running through arm tackles and dragging defenders for extra yards. Once he establishes his power, he has good footwork and jump cuts in his game, enabling him to be shifty enough to get even more yards after contact. Looking forward to his Senior campaign.
