Continue ReadingArkansas is one of the most overlooked states in the country when it comes to middle school and high school football talent. is a unique state when it comes to football talent. Stuck between the powerhouse state of Texas and the traditional Southeast football hotbeds, Arkansas doesn’t get nearly the respect it deserves. Today, we’ll take a look at six Arkansas prospects who are currently wrapping up their eighth-grade school years. However, these prospects in the class of 2026, all look like they’ll be getting a lot of attention early.
Catavion Taylor Catavion Taylor 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Fayetteville | 2026 State AR | Quarterback
Flat out, one of the most athletic kids in Arkansas and the entire country for the class of 2026. Equally, if not more, impressive on the basketball court. Stands 6-foot-1 and 157 pounds and can flat out fly as a dual-threat quarterback. On the raw(er) side of quarterback play and development, but there’s no doubt what he can do with the ball in his hands. He’s a dude.
Jahlon Harris Jahlon Harris 6'6" | 295 lbs | OL Maumelle | 2026 State AR | Offensive Line
I don’t care who you are, if you come across an eighth-grader that is already a verified 6-foot-6 and 336 pounds, you should take a hard look at him. Harris, an Under Amour Next All-American this past January, has size and potential that is unmatched on this level. He has a long way to go to meet his longterm potential, but P5 coaches would be crazy to not take an early look.
Kane Archer Kane Archer 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Greenwood Bulldogs | 2026 State AR | Quarterback
In doing an article on 2026 prospects I’d offer right now, you’d be insane not to include athletes who already already have offers. The ability of Archer is well-documented on social media, but he’s earned it. Standing 6-foot and 185 pounds, he’s put together very solidly. Already holds offers from Arkansas, Michigan and Missouri.
Kamauri Austin | Athlete
Listed at 6-foot and 153 pounds, but plays (and looks) significantly bigger than that. He’s a fast, explosive and aggressive athlete who can create separation as receiver through either brute force or quick foot work. On the defensive side of the ball he can lock receivers up as a defensive back with ease. Also runs track. A lot of upside here.
William Svoboda William Svoboda 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Pulaski Academy | 2026 State AR | Wide Receiver
At 6-foot-3 and 176 pounds already, Svoboda has the body coaches at the next level will want to work with. Defensively he plays outside linebacker, but his home looks to be on the offensive side of the ball right now. Playing primarily wide receiver, he’s big enough already to possibly move inside to tight end. If that rings true, you’ll have an athlete with receiver skills and tight end size.
Jeremyah Green | Offensive Line
On the middle school level the Offensive Line is the hardest position to project because size is of the utmost importance at the next level. Green, currently a left tackle, is already a nicely put together 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Not a leaner or waste bender. Has active feet that help him both drive-block and get up to the next level to cut off linebackers.
