5 Teams With Stacked 2025 Talent

With the release of the 2025 prospect watchlist, I wanted to highlight some of the schools with the deepest freshman groups. These schools either had very dominant freshman football teams or they saw several freshmen get elevated up to the varsity ranks. These freshman groups are going to keep their teams in title contention for years to come! The Vikings are home to arguably the top freshman player in [player_tooltip player_id="245879" first="Tyson" last="Terry"]. Terry has been on an absolute tear with a terrific freshman football season on varsity AND captured the Class A heavyweight wrestling championship (the first freshman since who knows when to do so and went undefeated all season... just cause he could I guess). The Vikes also added to transfers in breakout DB/WR [player_tooltip player_id="305112" first="Titan" last="Glassman"]d and standout QB [player_tooltip player_id="320049" first="Sebastian" last="Circo"]. North has size in the trenches with [player_tooltip player_id="319191" first="Connor" last="Cook"], [player_tooltip player_id="319526" first="Trey" last="Limones"], [player_tooltip player_id="319521" first="Greg" last="Moore"], and [player_tooltip player_id="319524" first="Tariq" last="Washington"]. They also have speed and athleticism at the skill positions and LB group with [player_tooltip player_id="319523" first="Ronald" last="Starks"], [player_tooltip player_id="319525" first="Deon" last="Cooper"], [player_tooltip player_id="319522" first="Jacob" last="Markham"], and [player_tooltip player_id="319520" first="Connor" last="O'Neill"]. [player_tooltip player_id="245856" first="Caden" last="VerMaas"] is another high-motor, high-intensity player that will be a key player on the defense. [player_tooltip player_id="318993" first="Caden" last="Thielen"], [player_tooltip player_id="318997" first="Spencer" last="Phillips"], and Alex Michaud will also be menaces on the defensive line. The skill-position talent in this group is insane with tons of speed and versatile players. [player_tooltip player_id="318992" first="Desmond" last="Dhaenens"], [player_tooltip player_id="245837" first="Mason" last="Guenthner"], and [player_tooltip player_id="319201" first="Colin" last="Bogacz"] will creat mismatches for defenses. He's got a great arm and passes the eye test for his position. [player_tooltip player_id="245867" first="Gavin" last="Shanahan"], [player_tooltip player_id="245877" first="Landon" last="Tate"], and [player_tooltip player_id="319546" first="Cooper" last="Mrozcek"] are excellent weapons that are still scratching the surface of their mass potential. The strength of this group lies on the defensive side with several high motor players that know how to get to the ball. McCorter Goesser, [player_tooltip player_id="319551" first="Seth" last="Whiteley"], [player_tooltip player_id="319548" first="Jack" last="Gideon"], and [player_tooltip player_id="319552" first="Devin" last="Meier"] are going to develop into solid linebackers that will be a huge strength for the Storm in the upcoming years. Allen is going to be a QBs worst nightmare, with his ability to pass-rush and bend the edge. Cash looks like the freshman version of older brother Max (2023 - RB) with his hard, downhill running and gritty linebacker play.
