Combined, the duo racked up over 5,000 yards in the air and 61 touchdowns.
But they are not the only key prospects to keep an eye on as we quickly approach the 2022 season.
Dylan Wiggins Dylan Wiggins 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB West Sioux | 2023 State IA – West Sioux – QB/CB – 6-1 – 175
Taking over for Hunter Dekkers, the possible starting quarterback at Iowa State University in the fall, Dylan Wiggins Dylan Wiggins 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB West Sioux | 2023 State IA kept West Sioux charging forward. Wiggins threw for over 3,000 yards to lead all of Class 1A while also hitting on 34 passing touchdowns.
Like Dekkers, Wiggins is accurate and makes quick decisions, completing over 63 percent of his throws. West Sioux reached the playoffs once again, making it to the final game before falling to Van Meter in a thriller, 17-14.
While recording over 300 pass attempts, Wiggins also carried the ball 103 times for another 537 yards. He is built for a future at the position and should be in for a strong senior campaign.
Alex Ravlin Alex Ravlin 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Underwood | 2023 IA – Underwood – QB/DB – 5-9 – 150
Strong quarterback play by Alex Ravlin Alex Ravlin 5'9" | 150 lbs | QB Underwood | 2023 IA led Underwood to a 10-1 record and a run to the state playoff quarterfinals. Ravlin was extremely accurate, completing 64 percent of his throws for almost 2,400 yards with 27 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
Ravlin, who also ran for 408 yards and four TDs, was extremely tough to contain and hold inside the pocket. His ability to extend plays and make moves outside the pocket helped him overcome his size at 5-foot-9.

Deep playoff runs are nothing new to Pella Christian. And neither is having a Kacmarynski at the forefront of it all. Isaac Kacmarynski Isaac Kacmarynski 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Pella Christian | 2023 IA is the latest, and the junior quarterback/linebacker is a fine one.
More of a pure athlete, Kacmarynski showed that he has worked hard to perfect his craft under center, completing 59 percent of his throws for almost 1,600 yards with 20 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. He also led Pella Christian with 927 yards on the ground and 16 more scores.
Kacmarynski is a force on the defensive side of things as well, recording 57 tackles with 7.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also recovered three fumbles and picked off another pass.
Cayden Gassmann – Dyersville Beckman – QB/S – 5-11 – 155
Behind Cayden Gassmann, Dyersville Beckman won its first 11 games and reached the state semifinals before falling to Van Meter. Gassmann was extremely accurate, completing 61 percent of his passes with just four interceptions on 141 attempts.
He racked up 1,313 yards in the air and 16 touchdowns, while flashing his athletic skills by running for another 765 yards and nine scores. Gassmann is slightly undersized, but his accuracy, speed and skills make up for it on the field, as he also showed with four interceptions on defense.
