Here are some of the athletes from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area that were awarded MVPs, Top Performers, All Camp Team, and notable underclassmen from the camp.
Jamauri Knox Jamauri Knox 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Oscar Smith | 2024 State VA
Defensive Back MVP
The sole positional MVP Award winner from the DMV was Virginia’s 6’2’’ 190 lbs Antonio Cotman from Life Christian Academy. Cotman won the award as the camp’s top Defensive Back for the day.
Top Perfomers
Some other players who received notoriety as Top Performers at the camp were Class of 2023 6’3’’ 170 lbs Wide Receiver, Jordan Bass Jordan Bass 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Phoebus | 2023 State VA from Phoebus High School 2023; and Class of 2023 6’5’’ 320 lbs Offensive Linemen, Joshua Miller Joshua Miller 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Life Christian Academy | 2023 State VA from Life Christian Academy.
All Camp Team
2 players from Virginia performed well enough to make the All Camp Team. That was 5’11’’ 180 lbs Class of 2023 Wide Receiver, Peyton Jones Peyton Jones 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Maury | 2023 State VA from Maury High School; and 6’3’’ 200 lbs Class of 2023 Defensive Back, Kaleb Spencer Kaleb Spencer 6'3" | 200 lbs | DB Life Christian Academy | 2023 State VA from Life Christian Academy.
Invited to the Underclassmen Challenge
Several underclassmen from the DMV, particularly Virginia stood out during the camp. Many of these athletes received an invite to the Underclassmen Challenge. Some of the athletes to receive the invite in the Class of 2024 were 5’9’’ 160 lbs Wide Receiver, Jamauri Knox Jamauri Knox 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Oscar Smith | 2024 State VA from Oscar Smith High School; 5’11’’ 165 Defensive Back, Milton Ferguson Milton Ferguson 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Green Run | 2024 State VA from Green Run High School; and 6’1’’ 175 lbs Defensive Back, Asad Brown from Oscar Smith High School.
The DMV athletes to earn an invite from the Class of 2025 were, number one prospect in the state, 6’5’’ 210 lbs Defensive Ariewd Watford Ariewd Watford 6'5" | 210 lbs | DL Salem-VB | 2025 VA from Salem High School; and 5’11’’ 185 lbs Running Back, Gideon Davison from Liberty Christian Academy.
Last but not least, there were a couple of rising freshmen who made a name for themselves and also earned an invite to the Underclassmen Challenge. That was 6’ 215 lbs Running Back, Markel Dabney from Life Christian Academy; and 6’2’’ 250 lbs Defensive Lineman, James Carrington James Carrington 6'3" | 260 lbs | DL St. Frances Academy | 2026 VA from St. Frances Academy.
Another notable Class of 2026 athlete was Dual Threat Quarterback, Elijah Moss, who had such an impressive day at the combine on Saturday that he was invited to the actual camp the next day.
