With plenty of 2023 prospects out visiting various Junior Days and some collecting offers from power five schools, below we will breakdown some recent offers collected by the regions top players.
Roger Alderman Roger Alderman 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Sonora | 2023 State CA , Sonora HS
Alderman is a very impressive kid with elite athleticism for the tackle position and will only continue to put on more weight as he progresses through high school. Recently while visiting Cal’s Junior Day he picked up an offer from the Bears and Nevada also offered earlier last week.
Blake Nichelson Blake Nichelson 6'3" | 200 lbs | LB Manteca | 2023 State CA , Manteca HS
Nichelson is the best linebacker across the region in the 2023 class and is a terrific overall athlete that will be a big time player at the Power Five level. Although he plays all over the field for the Buffalos, he should find his home at linebacker in college. Already holding multiple offers, he recently picked up USC and should continue to draw national interest over the next few months.
Noah Dunham Noah Dunham 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Yuba City | 2023 State CA , Yuba City HS
Dunham is one of the top offensive lineman in the 2023 class across Norcal and has very nice movement abilities, physicality and the ability to block in space while finishing blocks with a nasty streak. Last week, he collected multiple FBS offers from UMass, Wyoming, SDSU, Wyoming, Fresno State and Nevada. It should only be a matter of time before he gathers his first Pac-12 offer.
Cooper Powers Cooper Powers 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL De La Salle | 2023 State CA , De La Salle HS
Powers is a downhill run blocker that carries no bad weight and is extremely powerful at the POA while a natural bender and true technician in the trenches. Recently picking up Navy and Colorado State, he is another prospect that should be closing in on a Pac-12 offer as he has the physical tools and natural frame/skillset to play at that level.
Cole Owens Cole Owens 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH Casa Roble | 2024 State CA , Casa Roble HS
Owens is one of the top receivers in the SJS and recently picked up Portland State as they made a sweep through the Sacramento area and offered a few players from the region. Possessing very strong hands and impressive and wide ranged route running abilities with YAC skills, the rising Junior should see other FCS interest come his way as he moves through his Junior season
John Koett John Koett 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Vista Del Lago | 2024 State CA , Vista Del Lago HS
Koett is a bit under the radar but is a very good quarterback in the 2024 class and the Portland State offer is not surprising. Although still developing, he can make some tough throws on the run and has good arm strength for his age while possessing a strong football IQ and displays strong pocket awareness. He should breakout during the 2022 season.
Leroy Bryant, Rodriguez HS
Bryant is one of the most electric natural playmakers across Northern California has very good Junior season film. Although playing all over the field, he has terrific natural instincts from the safety and corner position, elite ball skills and return/big play ability whenever he touches the ball. Over the past week, he has picked up offers from Oregon State and Colorado State and also has offers from SDSU, Nevada and NAU.
