Continue ReadingThere is arguably no state with more talent in each class than the state of Georgia. For that reason, every school from the SEC to the NAIA comes knocking to enter the sweepstakes for Georgia prospects. In the 2023 class alone, there are already dozens of elite prospects that have started to blow up on the recruiting trail, especially in the Atlanta area. Here, we take a look at some recent offers for just a few 2023 prospects in Metro Atlanta.
Benjamin Hall | RB | 6’0 225 | North Cobb
After rushing for 543 yards last season on 5.7 YPC, Hall has started to pick up some momentum on the trail. With a big season on the horizon, plenty of eyes will be on the big bruiser out of North Cobb. In the last two weeks alone, Hall has seen offers from Minnesota and Boston College roll in. If you go back a few weeks earlier you will see more offers from PO5 and FBS schools, including an SEC offer from Vanderbilt. Hall runs with a low center of gravity which allows him to bounce off defenders and fight for extra yards. He is also an elusive runner that can change directions with ease. His unique combination of size and strength has made him a very attractive prospect. Other schools coming after Hall include Michigan, South Carolina, and Virginia. With another big senior season, the offer list for Hall should continue to grow.

Shamurad Umarov Shamurad Umarov 6'6" | 275 lbs | OL Denmark | 2023 State GA | OL | 6’8 315 | Denmark
Umarov has blown onto the recruiting scene in the last few months and is now considered to be one of the most highly touted linemen in the entire nation. In the last week of February, Umarov added offers from Florida and Cincinnati. Those two offers follow up a big January in which he saw offers come in from elite programs such as Georgia, LSU, and Auburn. Umarov has a very impressive combination of size and speed. Extremely twitchy prospect that generates power from his lower body and plays with good pad level. He is also extremely versatile and can play anywhere on the offensive front. Some other offers that Umarov has picked up include Georgia Tech, Miami, Ole Miss, Louisville, Duke, Pitt, and numerous others.

Dee Crayton Dee Crayton 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Denmark | 2023 State GA | LB | 6’2 215 | Denmark
Crayton is the second Denmark prospect on this list. This time, he’s on the defensive side of the ball. Crayton is coming off an extremely productive Junior season which ended with being named a 1st team All-State selection. Since the end of the season, Crayton has seen his recruitment take off in a huge way, In the last two weeks alone, Crayton has added offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Clemson. Earlier in the month, Crayton picked up an offer from Kansas. The LB standout also holds offers from schools like Auburn, Penn State, and Jackson State. Crayton is blessed with elite speed which allows him to patrol the entire field from the LB spot and makes him effective as a Blitzer from the inside. Is versatile and athletic enough to drop back into coverage or lineup on the edge as well. Crayton’s upside will be too much to pass up on for someone.

Robert Lockhart III | WR | 5’7 175 | Langston Hughes
Lockhart can be considered “under the radar”, but there is reason to believe his recruitment is about to pick up in a huge way. Recently, Lockhart has seen offers roll in from Western Kentucky, Umass, and Jackson State. While not many PO5 programs have offered, there are plenty that have interest in the speedy Metro Atlanta playmaker. With the ball in his hands, Lockhart is a threat to score on any play. Once he turns the corner, his elite speed does the rest. He is also extremely twitchy which makes him extremely difficult to bring down in space and makes him a very elite route runner.
After a Great Conversation with @CoachMizellWKU I’m blessed to receive a(n) Offer From Western Kentucky University ‼️ @tballardqbcoach @CoachMcCannERT @routeking_1 @williamsdo @Whiplassh5_2000 @DricoQBCulture pic.twitter.com/KX5u9NYxJS

Robert Billings | DB | 6’1 185 | Milton
During the month of February, Billings saw offers roll in from Missouri, Indiana, and Uconn. To kick off March, he added a massive offer from ACC powerhouse Clemson. Billings possesses that elite combination of size and speed that schools are willing to fight over. He spends the majority of his time lined up at safety, where he is a true ball-hawk style defender with elite ball skills. Thanks to his length, he also has the ability to get physical with receivers in man coverage and break-up passes. To go along with his coverage skills, he also delivers a massive hit that can knock the ball away from receivers. Look for more offers to roll in for Billings over the next couple of months.
