WR Lynn Wyche-El Lynn Wyche-El 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Detroit King | 2022 State MI – Detroit MLK
Renowned as one of the best Grand Valley recruits of all time, Lynn Wyche-El Lynn Wyche-El 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Detroit King | 2022 State MI is a high-upside receiver with significant talent. If he sines with his brightest potential, he’ll be incredible at the DII level.
WR Kellen Reed – Holt
Reed was incredibly productive at Holt with 1,223 all-purpose yards, 36 catches, and 14 touchdowns. He was a versatile weapon on offense and a difference-maker on special teams. I’m excited to see what he’s able to do at GV.
TE Brett Peterson Brett Peterson 6'2" | 210 lbs | TE Glen Lake | 2022 State MI – Kingsley
Peterson had some mind-blowing stats out of Kingsley, having started on offense and defense. He was a workhorse in high school with excellent grades, and he’s an exciting prospect that I’ll be watching at GV.
OL/TE Brett Weaver Brett Weaver 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Traverse City Central | 2022 State MI – Traverse City Central
Weaver is a 6’6″ monster who played great for a state finalist. I’m always impressed with the development of talent at Traverse City Central, as the 2021-2022 Trojans were stacked. I’m interested to see how Weaver develops, especially athletically.
OL Breon Key Breon Key 6'4" | 305 lbs | OL Harper Woods | 2022 MI – Harper Woods
Key was a mauler at Harper Woods, weighing in at 6’4″ 290lbs. A consistent force on offense and defense, Key has the opportunity to expand his game at GV. Excited to see his progression, especially athletically.
OL Cooper Phillips Cooper Phillips 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Macomb Dakota | 2022 State MI – Dakota
Phillips comes from a consistently great program, and he’s able to play just about anywhere on the line. He’s got insane strength headlined by a 305lb bench press, though I’m excited to see how he progresses with his technique at the college level.
OL Jeffrey Burton – Fordson
Here’s a big boy who knows how to get to work. Fordson has a fantastic football culture, and he’s headed to a place with a winning tradition. Excited to see what he can do.
OL Jakob Lentz – Monroe
6’7″ 285lbs with a 315lb bench press, 405lb squat, and 500lb deadlift. Need I say more? The dude is a mauler, and his tape is extremely fun to watch. He’s got a significant upside.
LB Cross Dobbs Cross Dobbs 6'3" | 205 lbs | LB Grand Blanc | 2022 MI – Grand Blanc
I am more knowledgeable about Cross Dobbs Cross Dobbs 6'3" | 205 lbs | LB Grand Blanc | 2022 MI more than anyone on this list. I watched him play quite a bit this past season, and he was phenomenal against all competition. A high motor and a relentless competitor, I expect Dobbs to transition well to the college level.
DB Jason Hardy Jason Hardy 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Loyola | 2022 MI – Loyola Detroit
A polished DB with some nice tape, Jason Hardy Jason Hardy 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Loyola | 2022 MI is a big 6’2″ corner with promise. I’m especially impressed by his tackling tape, something I have seldom seen on hudl.
S Kyle Johnson Kyle Johnson 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB West Bloomfield | 2022 MI – West Bloomfield
We all know West Bloomfield is one of the premier programs in the state, and that’s because of its depth. Kyle Johnson Kyle Johnson 6'1" | 185 lbs | DB West Bloomfield | 2022 MI was overshadowed by power five recruits, but checking out his tape, he’s a relentless athlete with a ton to offer at the safety position.
S Charles Wilson – Belleville
An underrated star for Belleville, Charles Wilson heads to GV with a state championship ring that he played a significant role in earning for his team. I am overall highly excited for this DB class.
