Continue ReadingThe Georgia vs Florida High School Showcase is one of the top All Star games between both states, and we will take a look at several of the game’s Top Performers in this article. These are a few of the athletes who either performed well in the underclassmen version of the game and/ or are on the radar to earn an invite for next season’s event.
Griffin Marshall Griffin Marshall 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Woodward Academy | 2024 GA | 6’1’’ 185 lbs | Woodward Academy (GA) | Class of 2024
Marshall won the Most Valuable Player Award for this past season’s Georgia vs Florida Underclassman Game. He led Team Georgia to a 26-6 victory and threw 2 touchdowns in the process. The Woodward Academy sophomore has a strong arm and makes very good decisions under pressure. Look for him to make strong push for the starting varsity job in his junior year campaign.
Joel Sacerio | 6’2’’ 175 lbs | Palm Beach Lakes High School (FL) Class of 2023
Sacerio is one of the up and coming stars within the state of Florida. He took over the reigns of the offense for the first time in during his junior season and threw for 1,136 yards, 10 touchdowns, and completed 53% of his passing attempts. He shows amazing arm strength, accuracy, and the poise needed to pick apart opposing defenses. He also makes very quick decisions and has the ability to make plays with his feet. Sacerio’s play-making ability was the recipient of Play Of The Week this past season, and I look for him to be more of a force next season.
Chris Martin | 6’2’’ 185 lbs | Lee County High School (GA) | Class of 2024
Martin is one of the more polished Quarterbacks in the state. He is the 8th ranked Quarterback & 33rd ranked overall player in the State of Georgia . However, he can make a strong push to move up in the rankings within the next couple of months. He has been starting varsity as a freshmen and won the starting role at the perennial powerhouse, Lee County, after transferring in prior to last season. He earned 1st Team All Region honors and led Region 1-6 AAAAAA in passing as a sophomore. He has all of the intangibles and grades (4.0 GPA) to play at the Division 1 level. Look for his recruiting to heat up within the next couple of months. He is already receiving heavy interest from , Georgia Tech, Georgia State, and North Carolina.
Miche Estime | 6’2’’ 180 lbs | Forest Hill High School (FL) | Class of 2024
Estime prepares to take over the role of full time Quarterback next season after splitting time with Senior QB, Dmitry Peters. Forest Hill used a two- Quarterback system last season that allowed them to groom the sophomore signal caller for the future, while making the most of their senior QB’s athleticism. The experiment apparently worked out well for the Falcons, who went on a 7 game winning streak to a 8-8A Title after starting the season off 0-2. Estime played a huge role in the team’s success. He has great size and the ability to stretch defenses with his arm, but also the quickness to scramble and extend plays or beat teams with his feet. He was one of the Top Performers from this year’s Georgia vs Florida Underclassmen Showcase Game.
