The top players from 2 of the most heavily recruited states compete for state bragging rights. The event has a rich history of NFL Legends and Hall of Famers and it eventually dissolved, but was brought back by the NPFA and has been going strong for the past 4 years. The popularity of the event has grown over the last 4 years, and and Underclassmen Showcase has been added for last two years. Team Georgia holds the edge in the senior event, and Team Florida and Team Georgia are tied 1 a piece in the Underclassmen Showcase. Here are some of the Offensive Linemen that are on the Team Florida Watch List for next season’s event.
Tommy Kinsler Tommy Kinsler 6'6" | 300 lbs | OL Ocala Trinity Catholic | 2023 State FL | 6’6’’ 330 | Trinity Catholic High School | Class of 2023
Kinsler is the 6th ranked Offensive Lineman in the state of Florida and the 37th prospect in the state rankings overall. His offensive unit led Trinity Catholic to a 7-3 record and the 2nd round of the State Playoffs before losing to Florida State University High School. He has offers from West Virginia, UConn, MIzzou, Louisville, Maryland, Miss St, and Tennessee.
Nathan Burke | 6’2’’ 275 lbs | Dr. Phillips High School | Class of 2023
Burke has already been off to a good off season. After having one of the top performances for linemen in the GA vs FL Underclassmen Showcase in January, he won the Offensive Lineman MVP at the VTO Camp, and earned an invite to the VTO All American Challenge in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Phillips went 4-6 last season, but finished strong by winning their last 2 games. Burke’s currently has interest from Dartmouth, but his recruiting should continue to pick up over the spring and summer.
Michael Benzija | 6’1’’ 280 lbs | Hagerty High School | Class of 2023
Benzija has been a varsity starter since his freshmen year. This past season, he did not give up a sack all season, had 23 pancake blocks, earned 1st Team All SAC, and All Metro Honorable Mention. Benzija has been playing at a high level for the past two seasons. He was also named 2nd Team All SAC his sophomore year. Hagerty HS finished the season 6-4, but finished on a high note with a 4 game winning streak to end the season and Benzija was a big part of their late success. Pay attention to their program continuing their streak going into next season. Benzija has plenty of interest from Stetson.
Damon McMillian | 6’3’’ 330 lbs | Zephyrhills High School | Class of 2024
McMillian is one of the top Offensive Lineman in his Class of 2024. He earned 1st Team All Pasco County and 2nd Team All Sunshine Athletic Conference as only a sophomore. The young O Lineman had 10 pancake blocks, and also played defense contributing with 8 tackles and 1 sack. Zephyrhills went 9-2 last season and earned a playoff appearance before losing in the 1st round to Gibbs HS.
Tyshawn Etienne | 6’1’’ 290 lbs | Palm Beach Gardens High School | Class of 2023
Etienne is a brick wall for the Gators who helped in leading the team to a winning season (6-5). He is great in run blocking and is a force to deal with once he gets his hands on you. Look for his recruiting to pick this year as he goes into his senior campaign.
