Blocking scheme is everything, meaning the offensive line is arguably the most crucial position in the game. If there is one position that Colorado has consistently produced at an elite level, it would be offensive linemen.
This article will take a look at eight impressive offensive linemen to watch this fall, starting with a future Oklahoma Sooner.
Joshua Bates Joshua Bates 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL Durango | 2023 State CO | Durango | 6’4”, 280lbs
Bates is the number one-ranked offensive lineman in the state (3rd overall) who committed to Oklahoma last August. He is a versatile player who can fill multiple positions on the line. Bates is an elite offensive lineman who has the potential of playing at the highest level, making his career one for the spotlight.

Ethan Thomason Ethan Thomason 6'8" | 325 lbs | OL Rocky Mountain | 2023 State CO | Rocky Mountain | 6’8”, 315lbs
Thomason is an absolute force of nature with excellent strength and powerful hands. He has quick feet and shows great speed when firing in and out of his stance. He seals edges with ease and can lead up to clear space as a run blocker. Thomason is the second-ranked OL (4th overall) who currently has more than 13 Division I offers.

Zachary Henning Zachary Henning 6'6" | 225 lbs | OL Grandview | 2023 State CO | Grandview | 6’6”, 265lbs
Henning is a versatile OL with superb athleticism and great speed. He has excellent technique and strong hands. He has the ability to get to the second level quickly because of his speed, helping him barrel through defenders. Henning is the third-ranked OL (6th overall) and has received multiple Pac 12 offers.

Jackson St. Aubyn Jackson St. Aubyn 6'5" | 265 lbs | OL Palmer Ridge | 2023 State CO | Palmer Ridge | 6’5”, 253lbs
St. Aubyn is a powerful edge-setter and explosive lead blocker. He is fast off of the ball and gets into his stance quickly. His strikes are quick and accurate, coming from an advantage in leverage. St. Aubyn is the fourth-ranked OL (6th overall) who holds multiple D1 offers, making him a prime player to watch.

Hayden Woodruff Hayden Woodruff 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Mullen | 2023 State CO | Mullen | 6’4”, 315lbs
Woodruff is a player who has started receiving quite a bit of attention in the recruiting world. He has quick feet and strong hands that help him steamroll defenders as a puller or lead blocker. He shows great awareness when picking up blitzes while in pass protection. Woodruff is the fifth-ranked OL (11th overall) who is expected to have a breakout senior season.

Ian Frye Ian Frye 6'3" | 270 lbs | OL Pomona | 2023 State CO | Pomona | 6’2”, 280lbs
Frye is an under-the-radar type of player who can fill roles on both sides of the ball. He is a fast mover with a high-motor and a very competitive mindset. He shows great physicality and strength at the point of contact. Frye comes off the line with bad intentions when on both sides of the ball, giving him sleeper characteristics.

Jack Lillie Jack Lillie 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Fairview | 2023 State CO | Fairview | 6’4”, 260lbs
Lillie is an aggressive member of the offensive front shows real hog-mentality when on the field. He has great size, quick feet, and powerful hands which he uses to win one-on-one battles. He works to the second level using speed and technique, and he locates targets when not initially engaged. Lillie is one of the many low flyers on the recruiting radar who is poised for a great senior season.

Semaj Jimerson-Brown Semaj Jimerson-Brown 5'11" | 355 lbs | OL George Washington | 2023 State CO | Montbello | 6’0”, 325lbs
Jimmerson-Brown is a radar pop-up who possesses the potential of being a contributor at the next level. He is a big man with serious strength and violence at the point of attack. His ability to open a door and clear a path for the running back makes him a viable choice for run schemes. Jimmerson-Brown is a big guard with a lot of upside to his potential, making him a player worth keeping an eye on.
