OL Mac Dorward, Marin Catholic HS
Dorward is a physical player that will most likely kick inside at the next level. He can play all over the line at the high school level and had a very nice Junior season for the State Champion Wildcats. On tape, he is a physical mauler inside and wins with violent hands, leg drive and a strong base through out his blocks. More of a vertical run blocker, he plays with good pad level and has above average feet/hands in pass protection and comes downhill out of his stance quickly in the inside run game. Going into the 2022 season, Dorward will be one of the best offensive lineman across the Bay Area, regardless of class.
DE Charlie Seymour, Marin Catholic HS
Seymour is the next big time edge defender to come out of Marin Catholic. Only a Sophomore, he has ideal size with the ability to pack on more weight at the next level and has tremendous length with two years to go in his prep career. Off the ball he is extremely physical and explosive at the POA while doing a nice job at using quick hands and flipping his hips quickly around the edge. In the open field, he has nice closing speed and is a long strider that covers ground quickly while collapsing the pocket and tracking down backside ball carriers. Extremely tough and physical, he will be a very productive defensive end or outside linebacker in college and has some nice upside due to his length.
DL Kodi Cornelius Kodi Cornelius 6'1" | 265 lbs | DL Casa Grande | 2024 State CA , Casa Grande HS
The 2024 prospect is one of the most dominating in his class across the entire Bay Area. In his Sophomore season for the North Bay team, he was dominant on both sides of the ball showing impressive strength and power at the POA and some nice twitch off of his first step along with a very active use of hands and hips when rushing the passer. A anchor against the run, he plays with good pad level and a heavy first strike with inside placement. A bit of a tweaner right now due to his size and length, he will most likely kick inside and play a 3-tech at the next level or a strong side defensive end position, depending on the level of play.
LB James Gordon III, Pinole Valley HS
Gordan undoubtedly passes the initial eye test and has a very nice build for the position. On tape, it is clear he is still a raw and developing prospect but shows flashes of upside in college. He is a very athletic edge defender that shows some twitch in the short area with his hands and when getting off blocks/using counter moves. He plays with great effort and can track down ball carriers backside if needed while understanding his rush lanes and how to collapse the pocket off the edge. Although still needing more time to develop his technique along the defensive line, his raw athletic ability and physical tools make him a very intriguing prospect at the next level.
