Mekhi Workman Mekhi Workman 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR St. Frances | 2023 State MD | 5’10’’ 165 lbs | Wide Receiver | Franklin High School
Workman is the our 5th ranked Wide Receiver in the state of Maryland and the explosiveness that’s will make a strong contributor at the next level. He was the main receiving weapon for the Indians last season and one of the more dominant players in Baltimore County with over 10 receiving touchdowns. Franklin ,who made it to the 2nd round of the State Playoffs last season, will look to make another Championship run and Workman will be a big part of that. His recruiting is started to heat up as he’s earned an offer from Old Dominion.
Devin Roche Devin Roche 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Dunbar | 2023 State MD | 5’7’’ 175lbs | Running Back | Dunbar High School
If there was a Mr. Do-It-All Award, Roche would be the clear cut winner. The Dunbar athlete will certainly play Running Back, or possibly Slot Receiver at the next level, but he also played Quarterback for the Poets this past season. When you have such a talented athlete it’s only right that you keep the ball in his hands, and this smart coaching move paid dividends for Dunbar. Roche, who is listed as the 2nd ranked Running Back and 18th overall player in the state on our list, accounted for 2,365 all purpose yards and 27 touchdowns with an average of 18 yards per carry. 1,075 of that was passing yards and 13 of the those touchdowns were in the air, so I would say that’s not bad for Running Back. Devin, who is the younger cousin of New York Giant Defensive End Quincy Roche, led Dunbar to a Maryland 1A State Championship this past season. It’s hard to not draw comparisons to former Dunbar great and NFL star, Tavon Austin, but Roche versatility stands alone. He currently has 11 Division 1 offers from Old Dominion, Temple, Morgan State, Ohio, James Madison, Liberty, Marshall, Virginia Tech, and Akron; just to name a few.
Carter Davis Carter Davis 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB MSJ | 2023 State MD | 6’2’’ 175 lbs | Defensive Back | Mount Saint Joseph
Davis is the 9th ranked Defensive Back in the state, but that could easily change between now and our next update. Davis has already had one of the more active off seasons between his recruiting really taking off and playing shutdown defense for his 7v7 Team Flex, who recently won a national tournament title in Atlanta. He has 8 offers and counting from Old Dominion, UMass, UConn, Akron, South Florida, Boston College, and Bowling Green. His can play on the island at corner or as high safety, and makes his presence known to receivers as well as with run support. He finshed last season with 90 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and 4 pass break ups.
KP Price KP Price 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB St. Frances | 2023 State MD | 6’2’’ 175 lbs | Defensive Back | Calvert Hall
Price is the 8 ranked defensive back in the state. He played a big role in leading the Cardinals to a Conference Championship, in one of the toughest conferences in the northeast, the MIAA. He has a great combination of size, speed, awareness, and ball skills. Lined up at corner and safety and tallied 65 tackles, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 4 pass break ups, 3 blocked field goals, and earned 1st Team All Conference honors. He is another Team Flex team member on this list, and it’s no surprise that they have been dominant in 7v7 this spring with him, Davis, and a cast of others. He currently has offers from Buffalo, Duke, Morgan State, Howard University, and Ohio.
Jordan Fiorenza Jordan Fiorenza 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Dundalk | 2023 State MD | 5’10’’ 200 | Running Back | Dundalk High School
Fiorenza is listed as the the 10 ranked Running Back in state and it’s for good reason. He led the Owls to and undefeated regular season and the 3A/ 4A State Championship Runner-Up. Fiorenza is a powerful runner who packs a load for opposing tacklers, always keeps his legs moving, falls forward when going down, has great patience, good vision, and the ability to hit the home run when given the opportunity. He was names to the All State Team, 1st Team All Met, and 1st Team All County.
