He has a solid arm, shows the ability to pick apart a defense, and when things break down, make something happen with his legs. Honorable Mention All-State as a junior, and he looks ready to build on that this season. The soon-to-be senior can really spin it, and it will be interesting to see where he lands after this fall.
Mac projects as a solid D2 starter down the road.

Another name to know is Reed Malphurs Reed Malphurs 6'6" | 205 lbs | ATH Hillcrest | 2023 State TX of Dallas, TX. He is one of the best Kickers in the state of Texas.
Reed kicked a career-long 57 yard FG last season as a Junior, and is starting to turn some heads, as he’s made the rounds to various camps and kicking events this year. The 6’6″ 205 pounder has the leg to be good from 60+, and will surely find his recruiting stock rising as his senior season progresses.

Next up, we have a tough, physical, downhill linebacker from Dobie High School in Houston. Nigel Hill Nigel Hill 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB J Frank Dobie | 2023 State TX is small in stature – 6’0″ 215 – but packs a punch in the run game. He gets good depth on his drops, and shows some potential to develop in that area. If he was 6’3″, he’d be a high-level D2 candidate, but at 6’0″, Nigel projects at the Division 3 level.

If you travel to another small town – Cameron – and stop by Yoe High School, they have a very talented 6’0″ WR named Pharrell Hemphill. He tallied 596 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior, and looks to build on that this season. He’s got a nice release at the line of scrimmage, but not elite breakaway speed. If you’re a Division 3 school looking for a potential gem at wideout, Pharell is your guy.

At nearby Rockdale High School, Ivan Bonner is someone to keep an eye on this Fall. He’s a 6’1″ 200 athlete who projects, in my opinion, as a strong safety at the college level. He’s a D3/NAIA-level prospect who’s got some potential, but he’s going to need some time to develop once he gets on a college campus.
