The small town of Whitesboro has a very talented QB you need to be aware of. Mac Harper is a 6’3" 190 All-State QB who threw for 26 TDs last season, and just 4 interceptions. His 127 QB Rating makes him even more intriguing. He has a solid arm, shows the ability to pick apart a defense, and when things break down, make something happen with his legs. Honorable Mention All-State as a junior, and he looks ready to build on that this season. The soon-to-be senior can really spin it, and it will be interesting to see where he lands after this fall. Mac projects as a solid D2 starter down the road. Mac Harper Junior Season highlights - Hudl Twitter: @Harper05Mac ---------------------------------- Another name to know is [player_tooltip player_id="309274" first="Reed" last="Malphurs"] of Dallas, TX. He is one of the best Kickers in the state of Texas. Reed kicked a career-long 57 yard FG last season as a Junior, and is starting to turn some heads, as he’s made the rounds to various camps and kicking events this year. The 6’6" 205 pounder has the leg to be good from 60+, and will surely find his recruiting stock rising as his senior season progresses. 4.5 ⭐️ K [player_tooltip player_id="309274" first="Reed" last="Malphurs"] Junior Season highlights - Hudl Twitter: @Reed_Malphurs Next up, we have a tough, physical, downhill linebacker from Dobie High School in Houston. [player_tooltip player_id="276052" first="Nigel" last="Hill"] is small in stature - 6’0" 215 - but packs a punch in the run game. He gets good depth on his drops, and shows some potential to develop in that area. If he was 6’3", he’d be a high-level D2 candidate, but at 6’0", Nigel projects at the Division 3 level. LB [player_tooltip player_id="276052" first="Nigel" last="Hill"] Junior Season highlights - Hudl Twitter: @NigelDionHill If you travel to another small town - Cameron - and stop by Yoe High School, they have a very talented 6’0" WR named Pharrell Hemphill. He tallied 596 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior, and looks to build on that this season. He’s got a nice release at the line of scrimmage, but not elite breakaway speed. If you’re a Division 3 school looking for a potential gem at wideout, Pharell is your guy. Pharrell Hemphill highlights vs Hallettsville - Hudl Twitter: @ItsPMAN4 At nearby Rockdale High School, Ivan Bonner is someone to keep an eye on this Fall. He’s a 6’1" 200 athlete who projects, in my opinion, as a strong safety at the college level. He’s a D3/NAIA-level prospect who’s got some potential, but he’s going to need some time to develop once he gets on a college campus. Ivan Bonner Sophomore highlights - Hudl Twitter: @TeeGotUpNext
