Let’s take a look at some of the best sleeper players in the city in the class of 2024.
Deuce Adams Deuce Adams 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Austin Vandegrift | 2024 State TX – 6’2 175Ibs/QB/ Canyon High School
Analysis: Deuce Adams Deuce Adams 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Austin Vandegrift | 2024 State TX has the talent to play at the next level with some more development. He has good accurate deep balls, and when he is on the run, Mr. Adams is still able to deliver precise throws to where his receivers can only get it. Next, he has a great arm concerning his throwing power. He can hurt you with his legs when he needs to and he does an excellent job at buying time to make plays for his team. Check him out these next two years!

Viktor Asklof- 6’4 280Ibs/LT/ San Antonio Veterans Memorial High School
Analysis: Viktor Asklof is a huge sleeper in the class of 2024! He possesses great size and strength. He will only improve the more he is developed. Next, he as decent speed for his size. In the run and passing game, he is the total pancake machine. Even though he needs improvement on his footwork and lateral movement, he plays very physical on both sides of the ball. With his build and attitude, he would be the prefect brick wall for many quarterbacks, but not so to defenders! Keep your eye out on this kid next year!

Brennan Carroll- 5’8 170Ibs/RB,ATH/ Roosevelt High School
Analysis: Brennan Carroll is another guy that is not to be slept on this year, which is why he is also on this list. With a 4.49 40 yard dash time, he earned the 2021 28-6A Offensive Newcomer of The Year last year! On the gridiron, he shows great patience allowing his blocks to set up. Mr. Carroll runs with good power and has great vision which allows him to gash the defense tremendously. Also, he has good hands, a good physical blocker, and has magnificent side to side elusiveness in between gaps or in the open field. He has already proven he has what it takes to play at the collegiate level as well. Although he is not well known, he is an athlete that you will want to recruit in the future and not miss out on!

Nathaniel Stanley- 5’8 170Ibs/RB/ Converse Judson High School
Analysis: Nathaniel Stanley is the definition of a true sleeper. He hasn’t racked up lots of offers or made lots of noise last season, but he is an up and coming star for sure! He is a good balanced back. Mr. Stanley is elusive in between gaps and also has good patience in letting the play develop while he sets up his blocks. While not the fastest, he possesses decent speed and decent hands out of the backfield. Also, he is great at making defenders miss in the open field. With more development, he will definitely be a threat to defenses in the next two years, and can make enough noise to catch the attention of collegiate scouts and coaches!

Chance Gentry- 5’7 175Ibs/RB/ Boerne High School
Analysis: Chance Gentry does not get the love he deserves, which is why he is one of the top sleeper players in the city. He was the District 14-4A Offensive Newcomer of The Year last season. As a running back, he is one of the best blockers I have seen in the running and passing game! He runs the ball with an old school, tough, physical attitude and does a great job at trucking defenders in his way. Even though he is not the biggest or fastest, he plays with heart and has decent vision with good hands in the passing game. The next two years, I see him racking up a few offers as well as making a name for himself, not only in the city, but in the state. Please keep your eye out for him!
