All of these kids are going to be seniors this upcoming season, and they are going to be looking to turn the heads of college football scouts! Here are the top 5 sleeper players in San Antonio to look out for in the fall 2022 football season.
1. Carson Green Carson Green 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Ronald Reagan | 2023 State TX – 5’9 180Ibs/RB-Ronald Reagan High School
Analysis: Carson Green Carson Green 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Ronald Reagan | 2023 State TX rushed for 1300 yards and 26 touchdowns last season and is an UA-All American with a 4.49 40yrd dash time. He is very elusive and quick in between gaps when carrying the ball and does not go down on first contact. Carson is very explosive out of the backfield and possesses great ball carry vision. He possesses good hands out of the backfield and runs with authority. In addition to that he is a great blocker as well! Be on the look out for him this upcoming season.
2. Kevin KK Brashears- 6’0 165Ibs/ Dual Threat QB Stevens High School
Analysis: Kevin KK Brashears threw for 19 touchdowns and 2329 yards while rushing for 10 touchdowns and 529 yards. He possesses great ball carry vision when running the ball and has decent get away speed. When the pocket collapses, he is able to be an excellent playmaker. Mr. Brashears is patient in the pocket while going through his progressions. He delivers accurate throws whether it is short or deep balls. When the pocket get smaller, he is able to use is great footwork in the pocket to step up and make difficult and accurate throws. He will be a threat for any opponent this season.
3. Houston Hendrix- 6’3 200Ibs/ SS/QB Boerne High School
Analysis: Houston Hendrix racked up 101 tackles,10 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 1 defensive touchdown, 398 All- Purpose Yards and 9 total touchdowns. Hendrix’s play at the safety position is excellent. He is physical and isn’t afraid of contact while having great ball hawking skills. His blocking skills is very good as well because he does not stop until the whistle blows. He is also a great weapon in the passing game while at WR/TE while still being physical after contact and he initiates contact while running the ball. Look out for him this upcoming season because he will be looking to lay the hammer on opponents this year!
4. David Miller- 5’10 165Ibs /ATH Davenport High School
Analysis: David Miller possesses great ball skills on both offense and defense. He is good in man coverage while locating the ball. Mr. Miller is very good at catching the ball at it’s highest point which is vital for a cornerback or receiver. He is not afraid to tackle and is extremely good at breaking up passes when in coverage. He is another under the radar athlete to look out for this upcoming season that will be getting lots of playing time this year!
5. Aaron Dubose- 6’3 175Ibs/ WR Brennan High School
Analysis: Aaron Dubose is another offensive player in the class of 2023 that is considered a sleeper. Aaron racked up 45 receptions for 884 yards, averaging 20 yards per catch, and16 touchdowns last season! He is a very good route runner that possesses good soft hands and isn’t afraid to get physical when blocking. His ability to get open while using smooth and quick footwork makes him a huge weapon on offense. Look for him to have a big season in the fall of 2022!
