The Bombers are looking to build off of the momentum of the 2021 season and keep it rolling next season. We are going to take a look at the Mountain Home key players from 2021 and give a look ahead to the 2022 football season.
Looking first, at the offensive side of the ball for the Bombers. Mountain Home will have two experienced quarterbacks returning for the 2022 season. Sophomore quarterback Cade Yates passed for 227 yards last season. Yates also worked at wide receiver last season and is a player that will see the field for the Bombers. Meanwhile, junior quarterback Brady Barnett Brady Barnett 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Mountain Home | 2023 State AR will have an opportunity to earn some snaps this season as well. Meanwhile, the Mountain Home rushing attack will be looking for some guys to earn some carries this season. Senior running back Gage Lindsey rushed for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, and his production will be tough to replace. Barnett churned out 704 yards on the ground in 2021. Junior running back Mason Walker will have a chance to earn some carries this season. The rushing attack will have plenty of talented players ready to go for the Bombers.
Experience is returning for the Bombers at the wide receiver positions in 2022. Junior wide receiver Dillon Drewry racked up 331 yards receiving and one touchdown last season. Blake Bentley Blake Bentley 5'9" | 150 lbs | WR Mountain Home | 2023 State AR will be a reliable target this season for the Bombers.
