Without further delay, here is a quick rundown of some area players that have tweeted their scholarship offers.
Park Hill South TE Jack Bjorn Jack Bjorn 6'7" | 245 lbs | TE Park Hill South | 2022 State MO hasn’t made up his mind but the 6-foot-5 target likely will be headed to a Division I school in the upcoming days. He visited Manhattan, Kansas, on Wednesday, 26. This past weekend, Bjorn visited Ames, Iowa to check out Iowa State. Those were two of his top five choices. The others are Missouri, Kansas and Toledo.
Park Hill South OL Ethan Hellebusch Ethan Hellebusch 6'5" | 270 lbs | OL Park Hill South | 2022 State MO , Bjorn and James ‘Sticks’ Williams all visited Columbia on Jan. 22. Williams received a preferred walk-on invitation from South Dakota on Jan. 24. He listed his top six as Missouri Southern, K-State, Iowa Central, Kansas, Missouri and Murray State. Park Hill South NT Torrin Zeigler Torrin Zeigler 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Park Hill South | 2022 State MO has an offer from Missouri Western, while FS Elano Alvarez Elano Alvarez 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Park Hill South | 2022 State MO , who had 112 tackles this fall, has an offer from MidAmerica Nazarene. Williams, Bjorn and Alvarez visited Northwest Missouri State together during a game in October.
Rockhurst DT Perry Thorpe Perry Thorpe 6'0" | 225 lbs | DL Rockhurst | 2022 MO is weighing offers from Washburn, which came last week, in addition to Benedictine, MidAmerica Nazarene, Culver-Stockton,
Truman State also extended an offer to Liberty QB Tyler Lininger Tyler Lininger 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Liberty (KC) | 2022 State MO . This is the second offer for the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder, following MidAmerica Nazarene. Lingiger threw for 1,688 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. He set the record for the most passing yards in a game (396) and finished with the highest career completion percentage (67 percent) for Liberty.
Lee’s Summit North’s DB Alphonso Hodge, a three-time all-conference pick, visited Cornell College. He holds a JUCO offer from Phenix City Community College, located in Mobile, Alabama.
Raytown South WR Shawndale Ross (6-2, 185) picked up an offer from Baker University. That came six days after he got his first offer from fellow NAIA school MidAmerica Nazarene.
First-team all-state and two-time all-conference pick OG Nick Vaccaro of Smithville has visited Division II William Jewell, NAIA MidAmerica Nazarene and Division III Illinois College in recent weeks. He holds offers from the latter two.
Lincoln College Prep ATH Michael Henderson picked up an offer from Missouri Valley College. DB A’justin Pearson A’justin Pearson 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Shawnee Mission South | 2022 MO has offers from Culver-Stockton, Westminster and Avila. RB Jayden Sudduth Jayden Sudduth RB Lincoln College Prep | 2022 State MO has offers from Cornell College, Avila, MidAmerica Nazarene and Carthage College.
Maryville QB Connor Drake (6-2, 170) has offers from Avila University and Dakota Wesleyan University.
St. Pius X DE Aidan Coons, who had 113 tackles this fall, visited Baker, one of three Kansas schools to offer him, the others are Saint Mary and Benedictine. Nearby William Jewell also offered Coons.
Pembroke Hill TE/DE Miles Marshall Miles Marshall 6'5" | 225 lbs | TE Pembroke Hill | 2022 State MO closed out the month with a visit to Southern Illinois. The 6-5, 225-pounder also took visits to Northwest Missouri State, Murray State and Washburn this month. Missouri State offered him on Jan. 25. The Missouri Boys State governor took a game-day visit to Kansas State this year as well.
Quincy offered Lee’s Summit West LB/S Wyatt Ramsey, who also has an offer from Benedictine. Ramsey was an all-conference pick this fall for the Titans. Fellow Titans LB/S Ben Eley Ben Eley 6'2" | 185 lbs | LB Lee's Summit West | 2022 MO got an offer from Kansas on Jan. 25, two days after a visit. Central Missouri, Quincy, Missouri Baptist, Fort Hays State, Baker, Henderson State.
Baker has extended an offer to WR Kingston Oliver Kingston Oliver 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Lafayette (St. Joseph) | 2022 MO of St. Joseph Lafayette. Earlier this season Oliver set the new MSHSAA record for yards in a game with 398, breaking the previous mark of 376. Oliver had 1,035 yards and 12 TDs this fall.
University Academy teammates, DB Damarcus Paul and OL Alonzo Wyatt Alonzo Wyatt 5'11" | 265 lbs | OL University Academy | 2022 MO , were both offered by Missouri Valley College. Wyatt, who didn’t allow a sack all year, also has offers from Waldorf, Doane and Lakeland. Paul has offers from MidAmerica Nazarene and Bethel.
Lee’s Summit TE Landen Shepard Landen Shepard 6'3" | 235 lbs | ATH Lee's Summit | 2022 State MO has offers from Quincy, Washburn, Missouri Western and Graceland. Teammate Jaylen Johnson Jaylen Johnson 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Lee's Summit | 2022 State MO , an all-state DE, has visited Washburn, MidAmerican Nazarene, William Penn, Dakota Wesleyan and Nebraska Wesleyan and has offers from all of them.
Raytown standout RB Zahmari Gary Zahmari Gary 5'8" | 185 lbs | RB Raytown | 2022 State MO , who ran for 1,473 yards and 24 TDs, has an offer from Missouri, where he attended camp in the summer. Teammate LB Je’Zhon Baker has an offer from Avila and Benedictine, while DB JaiSean Butler has offers from Bethany College, University of Saint Mary, Ottawa University, Wren College, Carthage College, Missouri Valley College and Bethel College. Butler visited University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, last week.
