Nate Bell, Liberty-Brentwood HS
Bell is one of the most electric quarterbacks in the region and is a true dual-threat that impresses in designed runs and when escaping outside the pocket. Always a top quarterback no matter the event and a true gamer, he is very technically sound in his delivery and lower body, has a high release and can get the ball out quickly while able to fit it into tight windows with good spin and ball speed downfield. Patient in the pocket, he is not afraid to take a shot in order to get the ball out and excels when throwing outside the pocket on the run and across his body. A very exciting player to watch, he will be one of the best across Northern California this fall.
Maddox Varella, Oak Ridge HS
Varella is a quick and precise passer that excels in the short and intermediate game while extremely smart in the pocket. Doing a good job at moving the pocket and defenders downfield with his eyes, he displays quick feet throughout his progression and makes tough throws into small windows look easy with good touch and has the ability to float it over defenders heads consistently. Although a bit undersized, he knows how to maneuver the pocket to his advantage, use his feet and strong first level burst to make up for it. Varella is poised for a huge Senior season and is one of the top quarterbacks Northern California has to offer.
Cayden Muir, Hanford HS
Muir is a still developing quarterback that is a natural athlete and can make a positive impact at a D3+ college program. Playing for a very good Hanford program in the Central Valley, Muir throws a nice deep ball and is not afraid to check it down when needed and is smart within the pocket and with his decision making. Although not run happy, he is a threat on the ground with impressive acceleration through the first level, quick foot speed and can bounce off ankle tackles with strong contact balance and runs behind his pads while able to make defenders miss in space. On tape, Muir has a strong arm 30+ yards downfield while able to throw his receivers open and put good velocity on it.
Henry Ellis, Petaluma HS
Ellis is a big bodied quarterback that could play multiple positions at the next level due to his athleticism, build and position versatility on both sides of the ball. Although successfully executing the run heavy offense at Petaluma High School, he is a very impressive thrower with a big arm downfield and polished mechanics in the pocket. Running the ball, he is extremely tough to bring down and physical in-between the tackles while running behind his pads with forward lean and has sneaky open field speed. Although not playing in a pass friendly system, his size, mechanics and natural arm talent offers some upside at the next level, no matter what position he ends up playing. In the right system, he could be very successful at the college level.
