Donavin Green Donavin Green 6'0" | 165 lbs | DB Yazoo County | 2023 State MS | 6’0″ ATH | Yazoo County High School
Green is 6’0″ tall and 180 lbs, Green played a crucial role in the Panther’s 2021 football season. The Panthers finished the 2021 campaign with a record of 5-5. In 2021 he spent time at QB and WR on offense and defensive back on the defensive side of the ball. He is an old-school in your face physical defensive back. His eye discipline makes him the player that he is on the defensive side of the ball. On the Offensive side of the ball, he has excellent vision. He makes great reads and sound decisions when the ball is in his hands. He was responsible for 931 Total yards in the 2021 football season. Look for Green to have a break-out season in 2022.
Kamp Shepherd Kamp Shepherd 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Tri-County Academy | 2023 State MS | 6’0 WR,DB | Tri-County Academy
Sheperd is 6’0″ tall and 185 lbs, Shepherd, was an impact, two-way player for Tri-County who helped them bring home the 2021 State Championship. On offense, Shepherd lines up at receiver. He runs clean, precise routes. Shepherd is a weapon on the outside as someone who runs clean routes and has strong hands. He can lock up a defensive back on the outside to open up huge running lanes for the running or screen game. Defensively he loves to hit. Shepherd is not afraid to lower his shoulder and use the “hit stick.” He can play both man and zone coverage in the passing game well. Shepherd will need to have a stand-out senior season if the Rebels want to defend their State title in 2022.
Crosby Mullins Crosby Mullins 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Simpson Academy | 2023 State MS | 6’3″ OL,DL| Simpson Academy
Mullins is 6’3″ tall and 270lbs, Mullins was the anchor to an excellent offensive line in 2021. The cougars averaged 195.8 rushing yards a game during the 2021 campaign. Mullins’s aggressiveness makes him the player he is. He has quick feet, strong legs and is fundamentally sound with blocking techniques in both pass and run blocking. He is at his best when he is run blocking. Defensively he is a force to be reckoned with on the line of scrimmage. He fires off the ball, stays low, and lets the offensive player feel his presence. For the Cougars to make it out of the second round of the playoffs in 2022, look for Mullin to continue to be the offensive line captain and lead them in 2022.
Matthew Adcock Matthew Adcock 6'3" | 235 lbs | LB Simpson County Academy | 2023 State MS | 6’2″ TE,LB | Simpson Academy
Adcock is 6’2″ tall and 240lbs, Adcock, the heart and soul of the Cougar defense in 2021. Adcock can also be seen catching a few passes at the TE position. In 2021 he had 2 Touchdown receptions and 150 all-purpose yards. Adcock is the type of player who takes control and is a brick wall in the middle for the defense. He is one of the better open-field tacklers in this class. Adcock has a good football IQ and is not afraid to lay the boom on anyone that comes across his path. The Cougars defense will go as Adcock goes in 2022.
Carson Graham Carson Graham 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB St Joseph | 2023 State MS |6’1″ LB | St. Joseph High School
Graham is 6’1″ tall and 200lbs, Graham helped lead the Fighting Irish to the state semi-finals in 2021. They came up just short against eventual State Champion Tri-County. Graham is a playmaker that always finds himself around the ball. He directs traffic on the defensive side of the ball like a quarterback of the defense. Blockers have a hard time containing him. Graham can shed blocks in a few different ways. He has a good swim move but an even better bull rush move. It’s like trying to catch a piece of ice when trying to block him in the open field. Graham will have an opportunity in 2022 to make a statement for The Fighting Irish.
