Now that signing day has passed, let’s take a look at a group of receivers who should make a huge impact in the State of Virginia next season.

Maury High School
5’11’’ 170 lbs
Floyd isn’t exactly flying under the radar on our board. In our last rankings update, he was listed as #1 and continues to make a strong case for that position. He holds over a dozen division one offers from the likes of West Virginia, Liberty, Duke, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, North Carolina State, Buffalo, Penn State and more. He has great speed and the ability to play in the slot or on the outside in any offense. I look forward to seeing showcase his skills this spring and summer at local camps and 7v7s.
Nick Tyree
Thomas Dale High School
5’9’’ 160 lb
If the name Tyree sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Nick is the younger brother of former Thomas Dale All American and current Notre Dame Running Back Chris Tyree. He and his twin brother, Jon, were a force to deal with for the Knights, and I predict that they will be for the next two seasons. While Jon seems to excel more on the defensive sid of the ball, Nick is home-run threat that usually lines up in the slot. He was clocked at a a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash and ran a sub 11.5 in the 100 meters during his Freshmen year. As he prepares for the upcoming Track season, I’m sure he will only continue to get faster.

Green Run High School
6’2’’ 185
Adams is has made a very strong case for the top ranking on our board. Not just as a receiver, but as overall as an athlete. He finished the season with 42 catches, 1,009 yards, 16 touchdowns, and won almost every award that he could for his position; All State, 1st Team All Region, 1st Team All- Beach District. The awards and accolades weren’t all that Adams collected this past season, the Green Run sophomore received approximately 20 division one scholarship offers. The list included Michigan, University of North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Florida State, Penn State, University of Maryland, and Pitt to name a few.

King George High School
6’4’’ 190lb
Wiggins has the prototypical X receiver build. He has great size, speed, long arms, strong hands, and phenomenal leaping ability. His combination of length and explosiveness creates a mismatch anywhere on the field for opposing defenses. Not only his he versatile within an offensive game plan, he is a force on the opposite side of the ball in the defensive backfield. He earned 2nd Team All District honors as Defensive Back to go along with being named to the 1st All District Team as a Receiver. He has offers from University of Maryland, Marshall, Liberty, University of North Carolina- Charlotte, East Carolina, Old Dominion, West Virginia, and Pitt. To top it all off, he is an amazing student who sports a 4.2 gpa.

With the emergence of Knox for Oscar Smith, it looks like the dynasty that the defending 6A State Champions have created will not dissolve anytime soon. The sophomore Receiver has a knack for making defenders miss in open space and amounted for 26 catches, 615 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown on the season. With this output, he earned 1st Team All Region, 1st Team All State as a Punt Returner, and 2nd Team All State as an All Purpose player. Currently he holds offers from Duke, Liberty, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Maryland.
