1. TJ Shanahan TJ Shanahan 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Westlake | 2023 State TX – Westlake High School (Austin, TX)
Shanahan has already kicked off his recruiting into high gear, especially last season. He has received a total of 40 offers so far including from schools such as Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, and Auburn. Shanahan has all of the qualities for an elite offensive lineman. Not only does he have the size, but he is extremely powerful and has excellent footwork. On top of that, he is well versed in how the play will develop and is always ready to deliver on key blocks down the field. Given how successful the Westlake offense was all last season, both Shanahan and the rest of his o-line teammates are a huge reason as to why.
2. Markis Deal Markis Deal 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Naaman Forest | 2023 State TX – Naaman Forest High School (Garland, TX)
Deal plays both offensive lineman and defensive lineman. Based on his tape and statistics, he is talented in both positions. This is due to his strength, speed, footwork, and his overall size as well. He can take on just about any player on both sides of the ball. His speed and knowledge on the defensive side of the ball only help him on the offensive side. Not only can he tear through blocks but he can also destroy a defensive lineman on the opposite side. Colleges have already taken notice of him and he has received 32 offers including from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, and Baylor.
3. Jaydon Chatman Jaydon Chatman 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Harker Heights | 2023 State TX – Harker Heights High School (Harker Heights, TX)
Much like the other offensive linemen mentioned, Chatman has also received multiple offers. Those offers include Alabama, Baylor, Houston, LSU, and Oklahoma. Chatman also has the size, but he also excels at helping set up the run. He provides a path for the running back to break into the secondary. On the passing game, his footwork is on full display, helping to create a perfect pocket for the quarterback rather than that pocket collapsing. He has the strength to face charging linebackers and defensive linemen. Overall, his tape is impressive on many fronts, especially when it comes to running plays.
