He plays taller than his 6-foot-2 frame and is one of the smoothest quarterbacks in the class. He is very poised in the pocket and has a fluid release. Really good athlete who can extend plays with his legs and throw on the run. Johnson has a very good arm and is fairly accurate. He is efficient and takes care of the football with only two interceptions this season.

7. Brian Rudden, Otay Ranch
Rudden is a baseball player and he is the kind of guy you can tell has always been one of the best athletes in the area and the Otay Ranch coaches put their best athlete at quarterback. He is fast, can evade tacklers and throws very well on the run. His arm obviously improves when he has time to plant his feet and throw but he actually may be more accurate on the run. He may not put up huge numbers, but he makes Otay Ranch’s offense better.

8. Malachai Ghitman, Patrick Henry
Ghitman has one of the best arms in San Diego. He is a true home run hitter who throws a beautiful deep ball and when the offensive line gives him time, he can do serious damage. He throws pretty well on the run and while I wouldn’t call him a speed demon, he moves decently.

9. Jake Davila Jake Davila 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Christian | 2023 CA , Christian
Between his freshman and sophomore season he put on size and that resulted in him throwing a better ball. This season, he improved his field vision and accuracy. He improvises very well and can find open receivers late in the play. He had 15 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions and rushed for 10 touchdowns. He is a true dual-threat quarterback and has been in contact with San Diego State and Dartmouth.

10. Aleks Wojcic, Mar Vista
He was the second leading passer in all of San Diego this season. He threw for 2592 yards and 24 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He has a long and unique release but has a good arm. Not a fast guy but can extend plays with his legs and throw off-balanced. His unorthodox throwing motion makes him tough to evaluate on film so I am excited to see him in person at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase this weekend.
