Here is a look at the Running Backs in the classes of 2026 and 2027 that stood out to us.
Eddrick Mompremier | Florida | 2026
Natural running back who can move well. Quick cuts and nice hands while performing positional drills. Went against older competitiom at times and excelled. Coachable and looks like he’d certainly dominate with pads on. Fast for his age and can separate in open field.
Elija Mason Elija Mason 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Gaither | 2026 FL | Florida | 2026
Ideal running back talent for this age group. Great potential with quick twitch muscles. Made people miss in one-on-one tackling, and showcased good hands when running routes on air. Outran defenders many times on the wheel route. Quick 5-10-5 without any technique.
Jarion Sharp | Florida | 2026
Fast, stocky running back who can shake defenders in close proximity. Adequate hands and can gain separation pretty easily. Could be a top talent with proper development. Dominated one-on-one opportunities and showcased quick twitch abilities against older athletes.
Baron Howard | Florida | 2026
Running back/defensive lineman combo. Has a little extra weight right now, but that should develop into muscle. Physical with quick feet. Isn’t really a burner at this point, but with time will develop. Showcased great burst and efficient route running ability. Seems like a lot to handle in pads.
Kyree Wilson | Florida | 2027
The only 7th grader to earn a nod as a top performer, Wilson is a slippery athlete who looks like he can play a number of different positions. Good ball skills for a young athlete. Doesn’t have the size as of now, but that should come. Made guys miss with ease during one-on-one’s.
