Based off the teams and games I’ve seen this season these are the top Houston area high school football athletes.
#3 Ridge Point Panthers Bert Emanuel Jr QB Sr 6’4 205 lbs
Bert Emanuel put on a show for his last of high football this season. Bert throws some of the most accurate passes I’ve seen this season. Whether, it was short or long Bert could always throw a perfect spiral. Bert didn’t throw one interception this year. Bert is also very mobile having over 1,000 rushing yards and scored 15 touchdown by himself. Bert is just a great athlete overall and has received attention from a lot different colleges and universities. Bert has college offers from; Texas Southern University, Army Football, Dartmouth College, The University of Colorado and Lamar University. Bert’s overall stats this season was 2,655 passing yards and threw for 31 touchdown passes.
#23 Katy Tigers Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX RB Jr 5’8 170 lbs
When you standout on one of the best teams in the nation you gotta be somebody special. Seth Davis Seth Davis 5'7" | 165 lbs | RB Katy | 2023 State TX is the best notable offensive player on The Katy Tigers roster. Seth is fast, strong and knows how to stay on his feet. Seth is great at finding the best path to run through. Whenever Seth got the ball in his hands he would always get a 1st down and more. Seth is a top college prospect having numerous offers from; University of Houston, Navy Football, Yale University, University of Ole Miss and Air Force Academy. Seth’s overall stats this season was 230 carries, 2,422 rushing yards and scored 28 touchdowns.
Atascocita Eagles #1 Chase Sowell Chase Sowell 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Atascocita | 2022 State TX WR Sr 6’3 195 lbs
Chase Sowell Chase Sowell 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Atascocita | 2022 State TX is a great and reliable wide receiver he was able to catch almost every pass thrown to him. Chase is tall and speedy using his speed to beat out the defender in front and get open for passes. Chase is also strong and resilient being really difficult to tackle and bring down. Chase is a college prospect having five offers from Sam Houston State University, University of Northern Iowa, Howard Payne University, University of Colorado and University of Texas San Antonio. Chase’s overall stats this season was 72 receptions, 1,378 reception yards and scored 16 touchdowns.
The Westfield Mustangs #10 Anthony Holmes Anthony Holmes 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Westfield | 2022 State TX Jr DT, DE Sr 6’2 285 lbs
Defensive linemen Anthony Holmes Anthony Holmes 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Westfield | 2022 State TX had an outstanding season for his senior year of football. Anthony is a large body not only that, but he’s also quick and fast off the ball as well. Anthony had excellent footwork and finesse with his swim move. Holmes was able to get off the blocks to get into the backfield. This allowed Anthony to put a stop to a lot of run plays and get a lot of sacks this season. Anthony is a top college prospect having numerous colleges and universities offers. During the season Anthony decided to commit to the University of Virginia, however Anthony renounced his commit and is now committed to the University of Houston for football this fall. Anthony’s overall stats this season was 94 overall tackles, three forced fumbles, one interception and 20 sacks.
Katy Paetow Panthers #46 Alexander Kilgore ILB Jr 6’2 210 lbs
Alexander Kilgore is an impressive inside line backer. Alexander is strong, fast and decisive. Alexander had an amazing junior year of football. Alexander was always setting the tempo for Paetow and it was no easy feat to get pass him. Alexander was key in helping Katy Paetow becoming state champions this season. Alexander currently has four college and universities offer from Arkansas State University, University of Texas San Antonio, Prairie View A&M University and Southern Methodist University. Alexander’s overall stats this season was 116 overall tackles, 1 interception and 10 sacks.
