Nearly 75 prospects from Texas and even a few out of state prospects worked out for a few hours at Nolan Catholic in Fort Worth. In this post, we put a spotlight on the top quarterback prospects from Sunday.

The first of three quarterbacks was a rare southpaw as the lefty, Beau Bush was outstanding during 1 on 1 drills on Sunday. When we first got a look at Bush during the individual drills and he started throwing the ball around, we weren’t sure what to think. However, when receivers started running routes, time after time, Bush started getting going and overcame a somewhat slow start to absolutely light things up on Sunday. Bush had good company with the other two quarterbacks in this spotlight as they are some of the better QB’s and one is widely regarded as a top overall prospect in the state. Bush is one that should have a pretty good offseason. He’s off to a fantastic start.
Graham Knowles

This shouldn’t come to a surprise to anybody but Southlake Carroll has another tall quarterback with a rocket arm waiting to be the guy at the prestigious Texas program. 2024 quarterback

certainly passes the eye test when you just look at him warming up and then when it was time to throw the ball, he started checking off all those boxes as well. Knowles was firing balls all over the field and had one of the strongest arms we saw from the quarterback group. But he also had touch and was able to control that arm strength on passes that needed more touch and couldn’t just be fired into the receiver. Southlake Carroll has a long line of quarterbacks and Knowles might be the next one up from the outstanding North Texas program.

. It was pretty fun to watch both Shorb and Knowles standing next to each other firing passes all over the field. However, what really impressed us about Shorb was his ability and desire to do more in the passing game. In addition to working with QB’s on individual drills and then with the receivers in 1 on 1, Shorb also went to the other side of the field and was throwing to the running backs as they went head to head with linebackers. Shorb was able to showcase just about everything you would want to see from a quarterback by working on both sides of the field and throwing at all three levels. He checks all the boxes and it was pretty easy to see why he’s one of the top quarterbacks in Texas’ 2023 class.
