This time around, we are going to take some time to recognize 4 of the top seniors on Collins Hill football team. Each of these prospects already have their eyes set on the next level, and their future home, as well as it’s coaches, are already ready to get them in the building to start working towards the future.
Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA : DB- Jackson State
In one of the most shocking commitment flips of all time, Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA , who is easily one of the best, if not the best player in the country, flipped from Florida State, to Jackson State. Here, he will be learning under the NFL Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, and will have a chance to better hone his skills at his position, and put on the uniform of on the most reputable HBCU’s in the entire country. Not only is Hunter’s skills top notch on both the offensive, and defensive side of the ball, but he will have the chance to become a huge cultural catalyst for HBCU’s in the future. Likely, he will be used on both sides of the ball, and he will light up the score board game by game, eventually solidifying himself into a future NFL draft pick. With this being said, the sky is the limit for Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA
Samuel Horn: QB- Missouri
Due to the fact that the starting QB at Missouri just transferred, Horn’s commitment to the SEC team is beginning to look better and better. Not only will he walk in the door with a decent chance to compete for a starting job, but he will also be in a program that seems to need a star player on the offensive side of the ball. Horn will need to add weight to his frame, as the SEC is brutal on QB’s due to their monsters on the defensive side of the football, but we have no doubt that he has the arm strength, and talent to make great throws at the next level. Moving into college, we would like to see Horn continue to advance in his ability to process the game, and release the ball quickly to the proper receiver. While many people think that Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA was one of the only reasons he was successful, we firmly believe this is not the case, and that he can prove everyone wrong in the coming seasons.
Asani Redwood: DE- West Virginia
Redwood, who committed to West Virginia on the 15th of December, will be very interesting to watch at the next level. Not only is he committed to a program that is seemingly loaded at his position group, but we also feel that even though he has a high level of talent, he would be best suited at a smaller school. His length, frame, and weight are solid, but we question his ability to consistently keep up with players that compete in the Big 12. With this being said, we think that he could develop very well here, and could turn into a great player, but we are unsure the impact that he may have for the Mountaineers. Regardless, this is a huge step forward for him, as he has a once in a lifetime chance to prove that he can compete with the best, especially if he can beat out the competition to start for his future program.
Cam Pedro: WR- Marshall
While his commitment to Marshall may not seem big to many, this commitment is a bigger deal than people may notice. To start, not only did Pedro dominate his competition at the high school level, but he managed to do so while being opposite of Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA . Not only was Hunter one of the bigger playmakers in all of high school football, but the room for shine outside of himself was very limited. With this being said, Pedro exceeded plenty of expectations. Not only does he run routes cleanly, but his ability to catch with clean hands, as well as look the ball into his hands can be seen to be very polished. Due to the fact that Marshall could use some decent receivers, Pedro could develop into a great player for them in the coming years.
