The event was filled with high level talent and competition at all positions with college scouts and coaches in attendance. Here is a breakdown of the offensive standouts according to me. Keep an eye out for Top Performers, Positional Breakdowns, and more event coverage throughout the week from other PRZ Scouts. Here is a link to the positional MVPs as voted by PRZ scouts and coaches.
This list does not include quarterbacks. For the top quarterback performances, check out the story here.
RUNNING BACKS
Major Givens Major Givens 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Steele Canyon | 2023 State CA , 2023, Steele Canyon
Givens stood out when watching the running backs which is why he was named MVP for the position. He ran a 4.66 40 and had a 9’4″ broad jump. He was getting open consistently against linebackers in the 1on1 passing drills. He rushed for 1,516 yards and 12 touchdowns last season and could be a mismatch on wheel routes in the passing game. When I asked the linebackers which running back was the toughest to cover, many of them pointed to Givens.
🙏🏾 Thank you @PrepRedzoneCA for putting on such a great event. I had a blast 💥 pic.twitter.com/zkNoCasrKC

Chauncey Sylvester Chauncey Sylvester 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB St. John Bosco | 2024 State CA , 2024, St. John Bosco
Sylvester impressed every scout and coach that I talked to on Sunday. He ran a 4.12 in the shuttle which was tied for the second best mark of the day for any position. He looked good in the individual drills with his fast feet and ability to burst out of his cuts. He was physical when running routes in the 1on1 portion of the day and was an effective pass blocker on film. He may get the lion’s share of touches for the Bosco running backs next season and could be a Division 1 prospect this time next year.
St. John Bosco class of 2024 RB Chauncey Sylvester with a 4.12 shuttle at the PRZ Stock Up Showcase. May be the primary back for the Braves this season. @PrepRedzoneCA @boscofootball @BoogieSylvester @GregBiggins pic.twitter.com/tv4QWopwfn

Like what I’ve seen from St. John Bosco 2024 Running Back Chauncey Sylvester. Saw playing time as a sophomore in a very talented/crowded backfield. Look for a big junior season. @BoogieSylvester | @boscofootball pic.twitter.com/UBHATBoJT8

Aidan Fortenberry Aidan Fortenberry 6'0" | 205 lbs | RB Clovis West | 2023 State CA , 2023, San Joaquin Memorial
Fortenberry was one of the most impressive athletes in the speed and agility drills. His 4.04 shuttle was the best of the day and his 6.78 L drill was one of the top 10 marks of the day. He showed quick feet in the individual drills and was one of the best running backs in the 1on1 passing drills. He plays for a very good San Joaquin Memorial team in Fresno and was a little underutilized in the fall. He is still waiting for that first offer but has drawn interest from some Ivy League schools.
Thank you for the opportunity! New PRs in Shuttle (4.04) & L-Drill (6.78). @SJMgridiron https://t.co/GQAGKp4QM2 pic.twitter.com/OrfI5LJS9u

Aaron Mitchell Aaron Mitchell 5'8" | 210 lbs | RB Foothill | 2024 CA , 2024, Foothill
He wasn’t the fastest in any of the speed or agility drills, but Mitchell impressed me with his size and motor. He is 182 pounds at only 5-foot-8 and has tree trunks for legs. He was asking coaches and scouts for advice throughout the day and whenever a drill needed a running back, he was first to jump in and volunteer for the extra reps. He averaged over 5 yards per carry and had a pair of touchdowns as a sophomore for an excellent Foothill team this fall and he will be ready for his expanded role next season.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Dominic Bryant Rubio Dominic Bryant Rubio 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Bishop Amat | 2023 CA , 2023, Bishop Amat
Rubio was solid in the speed and agility drills with a 4.25 shuttle and 6.74 L drill. But he really impressed in the 1on1 passing drills. He isn’t a burner who can blow by guys in man coverage, but he can create separation with his footwork and route running. He high points the ball very well and was consistently catching balls in traffic.
Great work this weekend 🤟🏻@PrepRedzoneCA @Lemmingscouting @mikehuntley63 @Ath_CoachBerry @TheMatt_V @CoachHagerty @247Sports @adamgorney pic.twitter.com/p43Ak8lGhD

Gavin Grisso Gavin Grisso 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Woodland | 2024 CA , 2024, Woodland
Like Rubio, Grisso is another guy who did not dazzle in the speed portion of the day, but finds other ways to get open. He was sure-handed and I didn’t see him have any drops on the day. He runs good routes, uses his length well and has a large catch radius. He looks bigger than his 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Grisso isn’t a college prospect yet, but has the tools to become one with more playing time and experience.

Mason Wolfe Mason Wolfe 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Tesoro | 2023 CA , 2023, Tesoro
Wolfe had the fastest 40 time of the day at 4.38. He did pretty well in the 1on1 passing drills and was able to get open on deep balls with his speed. He did not get a chance to run routes for his quarterback Evan Pierce Evan Pierce 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Tesoro | 2023 State CA , but he developed chemistry with the quarterbacks who seemed to like throwing to him.
Mason lead our offense in receiving this year with 32 catches for 458 yards and 4 TD’s. He plays the game with an edge and competitiveness which is infectious to his teammates. Great season Mason! #TitanUp #BandOfBrothers #Blackshirts pic.twitter.com/gMB8jpAsrs

TIGHT END
Owen Galasso IV Owen Galasso IV 6'3" | 225 lbs | TE Esperanza | 2023 CA , 2023, Esperanza
Galasso was the tight end that the receivers coaches were raving about during the individual drills. He is around 6-foot-2, built at 225 pounds and runs very precise routes. He high points the ball and was a tough matchup for a lot of the defensive backs at the showcase. He boxes out his defenders well using his size as an advantage.
Thank you @PrepRedzoneCA for the opportunity to show out https://t.co/TrPzZ51Msk

OFFENSIVE LINE
Matthew Mena Matthew Mena 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Fountain Valley | 2023 CA , 2023, Fountain Valley
Mena was not only one of the bigger linemen at the showcase, his footwork in pass protection was the best I saw during the day. He is 6-foot-4, weighed in a hair under 270 pounds and was one of two offensive linemen to break 5 seconds in the shuttle (4.85). He has a good punch with his hands in pass protection and was athletic enough to hang with the speedy edge rushers.
