2023 Rankings Update: New Additions At OL, DL, Linebacker

<div>Here’s a look at the new additions in the 2023 class at OL, DL, and LB. This is the third and final look at the players who make up the 46 new additions to our 2023 rankings.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262688" first="Dylan" last="Breese"], OL, Socastee - Breese shows plenty of power at the line, and finishes blocks well downfield in the running game for the Braves.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263155" first="Jaylin" last="Davis"], LB, South Florence - Davis helped pace the Bruins with 68 tackles and six sacks. He’s extremely active and flies to the ball, and looks as comfortable with a hand in the dirt as from a stand-up position.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263162" first="Christian" last="Garland"], LB, Ashley Ridge - Garland had 118 tackles and five tackles for loss for the Swamp Foxes. He’s fast and extremely athletic, and wins a bunch of battles thanks in part to his stellar wrestling background.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263157" first="Will" last="Helmadollar"], LB, Ben Lippen - The 6-3, 205-pound Helmadollar certainly looks the part of his hybrid OLB/DE position, and he backed it up this season. He finished with 53 tackles, three sacks, six tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262678" first="Jaylen" last="Hinton"], LB, Dutch Fork - Hinton announced his presence in his junior season for the Silver Foxes, with 28 solo tackles, 23 assists, two tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, six pass break-ups and two fumble recoveries.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262614" first="Drew" last="Inabinet"], OL, Summerville - Inabinet is extremely mobile for his 330-pound size. He pulls, he traps, he blocks straight ahead, and he does pretty much everything you could ask a standout lineman to do.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="194335" first="Alex" last="Ledford"], LB, Ashley Ridge - Ledford brings a little bit of everything: speed, pursuit, a high motor, and a high football IQ. The thing that jumps out the most, though, is his relentless pressure. QBs need to get rid of it QUICKLY if Ledford is anywhere near the play.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263158" first="Logan" last="Locklear"], OL, West Florence - The Knights’ backs seem to need just the tiniest sliver of daylight, and Locklear is more than capable of providing that. His 6-5 frame and 79-inch wingspan help him with incredible leverage, and he’s quick enough to pull and block downfield.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262573" first="Chris" last="Marable"], DL, Hilton Head - Marable’s a monster for the Seahawks. He’s physical enough to have recorded an 11-tackle game in his junior season, and athletic enough to have a 45-yard interception return to his credit. He’s a matchup problem for opposing offensive lines.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262680" first="Melvin" last="Minnick"], DL, Saluda - Minnick is primed for a breakout for the Tigers. In just seven games last year, he had 18 tackles, with seven of those coming as tackles for loss. He also broke up a pass and had two quarterback hurries.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263161" first="Reggie" last="Pinckney"], OL, Summerville - The 6-4, 320-pound Pinckney is a massive presence for the Green Wave, and is adept in pass protection and a road-grader in the running game.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263156" first="Trokel" last="Prew"], LB, South Florence - How athletic is [player_tooltip player_id="263156" first="Trokel" last="Prew"]? Well, he had 71 tackles and five sacks from his LB position for the Bruins in the fall. Then, he decided to take up wrestling, and found out he liked it. He started his career 25-3 and ranked No. 4 in the state at 182 pounds.He’s gonna be a handful next season.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262675" first="Josh" last="Sadler"], LB, Ridge View - Sadler had 31 tackles, seven tackles for loss, three sacks, three pass break-ups and four forced fumbles for the Blazers.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262677" first="Carson" last="Shaw"], DL, Christ Church  - Shaw might as well line up in the opponent’s backfield. That’s where he’s gonna wind up anyway. His 75 tackles last season included 14 sacks and an eye-popping 28 tackles for loss. He also broke up a pass, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and blocked a punt.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="262615" first="Steve" last="Simpkins"], LB, Summerville - Simpkins is a physical player who does a good job of fighting off blocks and pursuing the ball. He takes good angles, and brings solid contact when he gets there.</div> <div></div> <div>[player_tooltip player_id="263164" first="Calvin" last="Stokes"], DL, Midland Valley - Stokes’ second move at the line of scrimmage is often just as explosive as his first, causing havoc in the pass rush. His bull-rush demands a double-team, and is the result of his insane work in the weight room. Stokes recently tweeted a new squat PR of 495 pounds.</div>
