All of these running backs made waves in their junior seasons to get where they are now. Whether it is high rankings placements, offers, or awareness, these running backs display all the makings of pure talent. They each have displayed their abilities of speed, agility, and making defenders miss their tackles. 1. [player_tooltip player_id="241713" first="Quinten" last="Joyner"] - Manor High School (Manor, TX) 2021 Season: 2,494 rushing yards, 31 rushing touchdowns, 9 receptions, 100 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns Joyner has turned a lot of heads this season. While previously unranked in Prep Redzone's rankings, he has shot up to the No. 2 spot within the running back position. He has also received eight offers already including from Cincinnati, Indiana, Marshall, Penn State, and Pittsburgh. His stats are incredible, and while they speak for themselves, so does his tape. Not only does Joyner possess the speed needed for a running back but also the power. He is hard to tackle and can make multiple defenders miss. He is an elite running back who should have an exciting senior season. 2. [player_tooltip player_id="241715" first="Cameron" last="Cook"] - Stony Point High School (Round Rock, TX) 2021 Season: 695 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, 10 receptions, 153 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns Cook is another player that got some much-needed attention. He received multiple offers due to his performance including from Cincinnati, Kansas, North Texas, Ole Miss, and SMU. Cook is incredibly fast, and much like Joyner knows how to make multiple players miss. However, what makes Cook unique is his ability to escape, and can run the field horizontally to make a big play when needed. Cook is another talented back from Central Texas that should only continue to rise in his senior season. 3. [player_tooltip player_id="241714" first="Ezell" last="Jolly"] - Ridge Point High School (Missouri City, TX) 2021 Season: 864 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 9 receptions, 96 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown Jolly has that awareness and vision of the field that can turn a tight gap into a scoring touchdown. Regardless of how well the defensive line is working to make things difficult, Jolly is able to bounce around and shift his running to still pick up a lot of yards. So far, he has received four offers from Baylor, Buffalo, Colorado, and Houston. If he continues to play like he has, he should receive more. 4. [player_tooltip player_id="108967" first="Kyson" last="Brown"] - Lancaster High School (Lancaster, TX) 2021 Season: 682 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns Speed and agility are Brown's best weapons, along with his vision of the field. He also has a great relationship with his offensive line, who helps pave the way for him to take off. Once he gets going, there is no one catching up with him. He has received three offers thus far from Incarnate Word, Marshall, and SMU, but much like Jolly if he continues to make defenders miss and outrun the opposing team, he will likely receive more. 5. [player_tooltip player_id="146604" first="Myles" last="Arterberry"] - Klein High School (Klein, TX) While speed and agility are always looked at for talented running backs, power and drive are also. Arterberry has these qualities as well and displays them constantly throughout his tape. More so, once he gets into the open field, it becomes very difficult to stop him. On top of that, he makes an excellent receiver as well adding to the threats the Klein offense has in its arsenal.
