The number one spot in our final rankings up front belongs to Bryson Hurst Bryson Hurst 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL Gautier | 2022 State MS of Gautier. The tackle prospect signed in the early period to take his talents to Oxford and Ole Miss. Hurst is a mauler type on the line who is not slowed by his already impressive Power 5 level physique. The coastal star saw his recruitment really heat up over the course of his senior year as he displayed true power and sheer ability to win battles physically. Expect the staff in Oxford to initially place him at tackle but don’t rule out a shift inside to guard.
Carter Edwards Carter Edwards 6'6" | 275 lbs | OL Presbyterian Christian | 2022 State MS , who comes in at number 2 on our list, has been a longtime favorite of ours at Presbyterian Christian due mostly to his frame. He has a lean look that should flourish in a Power 5 strength and condition program at Colorado, where he signed in the early period. Edwards reminds us of a true freshman Charles Cross years back at Mississippi State from a frame perspective in how he possesses real length and has the body to build. Edwards should have no trouble remaining at the tackle position and sealing ends. Edwards should look like a complete different player 12 months from now after participating in a strength program and facing more stiff competition.
Southern Miss and Coach Will Hall had a hay-day recruiting offensive linemen, securing either pledges or signatures from 4 of the top 6 offensive line prospects in our rankings. Klabron Pollard Klabron Pollard 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Oak Grove | 2022 State MS is the most recent commit and probably has the best chance to step in and play from day one. Pollard is a tackle prospect with length and experience playing top notch competition. Wil Saxton Wil Saxton 6'4" | 325 lbs | OL Benton Academy | 2022 State MS flipped his commitment from Florida Atlantic last summer to Southern Miss and ultimately signed with the Golden Eagles in the early period. Saxton is built more compact and projects on the inside of the offensive line, possibly even at center.
Twin brothers Kamron Barnes Kamron Barnes 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL Adams County Christian | 2022 State MS and Kyron Barnes Kyron Barnes 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Adams County Christian | 2022 State MS look to anchor the future Southern Miss o-line just as they’ve been doing at Adams County Christian School in Natchez. The Barnes brothers were truly in this thing together committing together in March of 2021 and signing together in December of 2021. Kyron and Kamron both have potential all across the line and will be fun to watch adjust to more fierce competition.
McKale Boley McKale Boley 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Oak Grove | 2022 State MS is another name that came on hot as of late, pledging his commitment to Virginia on January 24th. Boley is well put together and has impressive combination of movement ability and strength. The Oak Grove native has been publicized throughout the process.
Best Still Available:
Marlique Fleming Marlique Fleming 6'6" | 260 lbs | OL Holmes Central | 2022 State MS – Fleming has been slept on throughout the process. The tackle prospect has an ideal frame for the position and has been coached well at Holmes County Central. Fleming fits in a Group of 5 o-line room and will be worth the shot.
Cameron Pascal Cameron Pascal 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Union | 2022 State MS – Someone will be glad for taking a chance on Pascal. Good size for the guard position and athletic enough to contribute well in both run and pass protection.
