Enzo Arujona, Northern Highlands
This young man played his heart out in the championship game. Constantly making plays on the ground and through the air to answer almost every Irvington big play.
Arujona has the uncanny ability to make plays off-script while delivering accurate throws, especially in the deep portion of the field. Many times the Irvington defense had him under tremendous pressure, but it never phased him as he many times had to stand in the fire and deliver accurate throws.
Although Northern Highlands didn’t get the state championship win against Irvington. Arujona proved he’s one of the top QBs in the state finishing the season with 30 touchdown passes.

Jay Mazuera Jay Mazuera QB Hillsborough | 2022 State NJ , Hillsborough
One of the most consistent quarterbacks through every round of the playoffs. He has tough throws through every round with great accuracy.
The senior quarterback seems to make every play needed when the time comes. He has sneaky escape ability and is able to deliver the ball accurately when he is under pressure.
Mazuera is different in that he can also deliver the football accurately and on time within the structure and the rhythm of the offense. He plays like a heady senior quarterback who knows what his team needs in key moments.
Mazuera’s consistent play has resulted in the Hillsborough Raiders capturing a state title capping off his dominant senior season.

Devin Kargman Devin Kargman 6'2" | QB Woodrow Wilson | 2022 State NJ , Woodrow Wilson
The most accurate passer when it comes to throwing properly placed football at all levels of the field. His accuracy is the most consistent of any quarterback of these playoffs and he took his play to another level.
He has the total package at the position when it comes to movement skills, accuracy, arm strength, and intangibles. In these playoffs, he made many plays with both his legs and arms taking advantage of all levels of the field.
Though he didn’t cap off his senior season with a state championship. He became the all-time passing touchdowns leader in Woodrow Wilson history and finished the year with 25 touchdowns and 2,799 yards.

Frankie Garbolino Frankie Garbolino 6'3" | 215 lbs | QB North Brunswick | 2023 State NJ , North Brunswick
The most gifted passer with a tremendous amount of upside. He showed great pocket presence and the ability to get the ball out quickly when navigating the pocket.
The biggest thing that stands out about his playoff performance is his deep ball. The accuracy he threw the deep ball with was unmatched. It’s tough to watch Garboliono and not get excited about his future prospects.
He showed a winning attitude and leadership skills it takes to win in tough games. Although, Garbolino didn’t have as much postseason success as the other quarterbacks on this list. His senior year will be one that needs to be watched as he can be that breakout quarterback that no one is talking about that can quickly rise and be a household name in the state.
