Here are some top performances from across the state during the semi-finals last weekend…
David Dallas David Dallas 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Trinity Christian | 2022 State GA – QB – Trinity Christian
It’s been an incredibly special season for senior QB David Dallas David Dallas 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Trinity Christian | 2022 State GA this year. The Western Michigan commitment has led the Lions to an undefeated season so far, torching defenses each week along the way. A true winner, Dallas led his team to a wild 48-45 2OT victory over Eagles Landing Christian, making play after play along the way. His miraculous throw to Aaron Gates Aaron Gates 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Trinity | 2023 State GA won the game in overtime, putting them in the A Private state championship game later this week. His athleticism and natural playmaking ability have made him fun to watch all season as he’s led Trinity Christian to at least 50 points in 9 games this season. They’ll play Prince Avenue Christian once again for the state championship, and this time Dallas is looking for revenge.

Travis Hunter Travis Hunter 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Collins Hill | 2022 State GA – ATH – Collins Hill
The No. 1 prospect in the entire country, Hunter proved why he’s a generational talent once again on Friday night as the Eagles cruised to a 31-0 win over Grayson. Hunter had 8 receptions on offense for 72 yards and one body-twisting touchdown in the first half. He’s an elite defensive back at cornerback with his overall length, body control, and overall athleticism. He does everything well and shows each Friday night why he’s one of the top athletes to come out of the peach state in years. He was as true go-to playmaker for the Eagles and will see plenty of targets coming his way against Milton in the 7A state championship game.

Cole Speer Cole Speer 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Calhoun | 2022 State GA – WR – Calhoun
The North Georgia powerhouse Calhoun Yellow Jackets are back in the state championship game thanks to excellent defense and a high-potent passing attack, thanks to senior receiver Cole Speer Cole Speer 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Calhoun | 2022 State GA . The future Georgia Bulldog scored two touchdowns in the first half and led Calhoun to an impressive 24-7 win. The dynamic, speedy receiver can line up all over the offense, as long as he’s touching the ball. He’s a big-play threat every time he has the ball and he played excellent in their semi-final game. He’ll be fun to watch against Warner Robins for the 5A title.
Jordan McDonald Jordan McDonald 6'1" | 215 lbs | RB Milton | 2022 State GA – RB – Milton
A regular on the “Top playoff performers” list, McDonald continued to run through defenses in the playoffs, and this time it was Walton who was in his way. The UCF star showed toughness and speed against the Raiders, rushing for four touchdowns and over 140 yards rushing. He also had an incredible 81-yard score where he bolted and darted his way for the long touchdown. He’s run as well as any back across the state this season and he’ll be given plenty of carries against a strong Collins Hill defense for the 7A championship.

Rodney Shelley Rodney Shelley 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Langston Hughes | 2022 State GA III – ATH – Langston Hughes
Another standout performer in the playoffs, Shelley was dominant as a receiver, catching four passes for an incredible 146 yards and three touchdowns. He was a big-play threat all game and his speed allowed him to get behind the defense. He showed quickness, explosiveness, and game-changing speed. He’s been incredibly productive throughout the playoffs and has the ability to make plays on defense and special teams as well.
