Being a team in the spotlight, pressure is surely added with every opponent giving maximum effort to dim the light on this explosive team. With pressure added, two outcomes can occur. Either the pressure burst pipes or makes diamonds. Here are three of the MANY diamonds who enabled the OG Ducks to dominate day 1 of the AYF National Tournament.
Jayden Porter I Defensive Line
At 6’4, Jayden surely toward over his opponents and passed the eye test at the AYF National Tournament. Although he looked the part, his play backed up the initial assessments and he dominated all day at the event. With using many different techniques to control the line of scrimmage, the offensive line struggled to create lanes for the running backs, and the quarterback was flushed out of the pocket nearly every down. With his size, speed, and dominance look for Jayden to help the OG Ducks continue their great success.
Daniel McGuire Jr I Athlete
Daniel is a certified athlete that showed up when it counted many times during the first round of AYF play. Playing his role, and being used in different positions is what made him stand out and help his team to victory. With added attention and exposure during the AYF tournament, I see Daniel making explosive plays all week as the competition heats up.
Jerod Terry Jr I Running Back
Elite is a scarce term when defining Jerod’s production in the first day of AYF Nationals competition. Using his vision, patience, and ability to make people miss, Jerod’s colossal amount of tools was on full display throughout the day. With his ability to trust the offensive line, and create his own running lanes when things broke down, expect Jerod “Roddy” Terry to run with authority for the remainder of the tournament.
