However, with another signing period on the horizon, we are going to look at some of the prospects that will likely sign with a team. We are going to look at some prospects that scouts and coaches should be taking a long look at and extending offer to. Some of the names may be familiar, but same may be some names that you will want to get familiar with.
Gerry Harris Gerry Harris 6'6" | 320 lbs | OL Star City | 2022 State AR -Offensive Line-Star City
The Star City offensive lineman is a powerhouse. At 6’6” 320-pounds, he has the power to drive the opposing defensive linemen out of the picture. Harris plays with a chip on his shoulder, and he makes life extremely difficult for opposing pass rushers. One of the areas that I am the most impressed with is his run blocking. Harris has the potential to be an offensive lineman that sees the field on Saturdays in the future.
Riley Cornish Riley Cornish 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Warren | 2022 State AR -Quarterback-Warren
Cornish led Warren to an 11-2 record on the season this season. Cornish is a quarterback that is mobile enough to escape the pocket and can hurt you throwing or running the football. He has the arm strength to fit the ball into some tight windows. Cornish definitely knows how to run the offense and he is one young man that cares about winning and less about his stats. Cornish is certainly worth a look from college coaches and scouts.
Joel Garner Joel Garner 6'5" | 190 lbs | TE Rogers | 2022 State AR -Tight End-Rogers
Over the past few years, the Rogers Mounties have had a steady target in the red zone in the form of Joel Garner Joel Garner 6'5" | 190 lbs | TE Rogers | 2022 State AR . At 6’5”, Garner is the kind of target that every quarterback wants to see when the game is on the line. He is athletic enough to get open and he does a fantastic job of high pointing the football. Garner is another player that college scouts should take a long look at.
Eli Craig Eli Craig 5'10" | 195 lbs | WR Rogers Heritage | 2022 State AR -Athlete-Rogers Heritage
Eli Craig Eli Craig 5'10" | 195 lbs | WR Rogers Heritage | 2022 State AR is the type of prospect that does everything well. Whether it be rushing the football or being split out as a wide receiver, he has played tremendous. Craig is one player that put together a terrific season for the War Eagles. Craig has a second gear when he gets into the open field. He is a player that will not drop a pass and he does a great job of putting the ball away after hauling in the reception. The school that lands Craig is going to land a playmaker.
Braden Jay Braden Jay 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Cabot | 2022 State AR -Wide Receiver-Cabot
Over the course of his career with the Cabot Panthers, Braden Jay Braden Jay 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Cabot | 2022 State AR has done a great job of making plays all over the field. Jay has tremendous speed, and he does an impressive job of creating separation by using his speed. Dropping passes is not a concern when it comes to Jay. Jay tends to look everything in, and he has a great sense of where he is at all times on the football field. Jay is one player that I would expect to see playing on Saturdays in the future. The work ethic and the drive are there as well as the ability.
