Here are a few standout 2025 prospects to know who are coming off big freshman season…
Elyiss Williams – EDGE/TE – Charlton County
One freshman that took Southeast Georgia by storm was the big jumbo-athlete from Charlton County. Just a freshman, Williams already stands out physically at 6-foot-7 with a long frame. He’s already naturally strong, but once he’s able to develop his body and put more muscle on, he could dominate even more over the next few years. He’s quick off the ball for a young defender and flashes raw strength on offense and a run blocker. You don’t see many his age with his length and overall potential, so Williams is a name to know for the future.
Jadon Peroltte – EDGE – Buford
Another explosive young Buford Wolf, Peroltte has a chance to really making an impact next fall after a strong freshman season. He’s athletic for his age and has a nice frame as well. He’s versatile and can line up in a number of different positions right now including linebacker, safety, and EDGE. He gets after the passer and showed he can help in coverage as well. There’s a lot of potential for him to have a nice season next year at the varsity level.
Gabe Harris – OL Cambridge
There’s a new offensive lineman to know about in metro-Atlanta and it’s the big guard from Cambridge High School in Alpharetta. It’s hard to dominate at any position for a first year freshman, but that’s exactly what Harris did this season. He’s massive for his age at 6-foot-5 275-pounds and knows how to drive the opposing defender backwards. He’s naturally strong and it’s easy to see on film. He was excellent against the run this season and has a very bright future ahead of him if he continues to work hard and develop over the next few years.
Kentez Allen – OL – Eagles Landing
Another outstanding young offensive lineman to know, Allen already looks like a D1 tackle after a freshman season where he was named 1st Team All Region 5A. He’s long, plays with balance, and knows how to get defenders to the ground. He’s big and physical for his age, and as he continues to fill out and develop, it’s easy to see him being a major prospect down the road. He looks the part physically for someone his age and he played really well this fall. He’s absolutely an Atlanta area offensive lineman to know in the 2025 class.
Zayden Walker – RB – Schley County
One of the top 2025 athletes in the state, Walker absolutely dominated as a freshman on both sides of the ball in rural Georgia this fall, making plays every game at both running back and at linebacker. He’s incredibly quick and physical for his age and appeared to be playing on a different level all year. As a runner, Walker rushed for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns. Defensively, Walker made 39 tackles, 16 TFLs and 4.5 sacks. He does it all for Schley County, and he already holds a few major D1 offers early on.
Dan’quavious Cummings – DE – Thomson
Down towards the Georgia/Florida state line is where you’ll find one of the top young defenders in the state. Cummings, a freshman already put together well, has been very productive at the varsity so far for a freshman. He’s instinctive and quick off the edge for someone his size and he’s making a lot of plays against older players. The South Georgia defender can play both defensive end and linebacker, with the ability to turn around and play tight end on offense as well. He can get after the passer with 6 sacks on the season. He’s also racked up 63 total tackles and 13 TFLs. Look for him to continue making lots of plays over the next three years.
