The two 918 programs treated the crowd in Edmond to a tense and cagey match up that saw Holland Hall hold on for their second straight Class 3A crown. Let’s take a look at the players that made the great game possible.

– 2022 Quarterback/Defensive Back (MVP)
One of the great aspects of high school football is how amazing stories can be created. Roush was always an impact player for the Dutch, but following the Verdigris game in Week 9, an injury moved the senior to the QB position. He never looked back as he piloted Holland Hall to their second straight state title. He made two big time throws

for touchdowns, then caught another off a trick play to account for all three Dutch scores on the afternoon. But he wasn’t done, he continued to play an important role on defense. And even grabbed the game-clinching interception to seal the victory in the closing moments.

has been one of the best players in the state all season and face a tough test with the stingy Holland Hall defense, especially with their secondary. That secondary did an outstanding job of containing his playmakers as Brown only connected on 5 passes for less than 100 yards. But there’s more to his game than just his arm. Brown would end up running the ball nearly 30 times and finished with 176 yards and a touchdown, some were designed QB runs where he grinded out the yards for his team. While other times he tucked and scramble for big chunk plays. It was a strong performance for the senior, as he found ways to keep his Bulldogs in the game.

has been widely considered one of the top cornerbacks in Oklahoma. That continued as he anchored secondary that shut down the previously prolific Lincoln Christian passing attack. But he wasn’t satisfied with just making his mark on offense. Late in the second quarter, he also threw a short touchdown to Roush on the trick play. Then in the second half he scored the final Dutch touchdown of the game on an impressive sideline catch in the endzone. Campbell enjoyed an outstanding prep career and will now move across Tulsa to the University of Tulsa where he should enjoy a big time collegiate career.

. He found the endzone on the ground and finished with 56 hard earned yards on 12 carries. Not just limited to carrying the rock, he showed versatility by being their leading receiver with 44 yards receiving.
Hunt Heldebrand – 2022 Wide Receiver
The Holland Hall senior wide receiver made one of the best plays of the state championship game when he made a one-handed diving catch in the end zone on a fourth down play to give Holland Hall a touchdown. After the teams traded long drives that ended in field goal attempts, it was Heldebrand’s big catch that opened the touchdown scoring. And he did it with one of the most impressive plays of the weekend

. He went on to enjoy an impressive junior season and capped it off with a big state title game. His play was a big reason why the Lincoln offense had to become one dimensional. Jenney led the team with ten tackles and perhaps more importantly recorded two sacks on the afternoon.
Tyler Johnson – 2022 Linebacker
All season long Johnson racked up the tackles for the Bulldogs on defense. He was their leading tackler this season and he had a similar performance on Friday afternoon. Considering Holland Hall routinely broke the 30 point mark, and often more on the season. Limiting the fast Dutch attack to only 24 points was what gave Lincoln Christian a chance to still be in the game. Johnson did his part as he finished with 13 tackles.

at the running back and linebacker. This year, he was one of the best two-way players in the state. In the title game, he was at it again with 131 yards and seven tackles. What made this more impressive is that he ended up missing the majority of the second half with an ankle injury. The injury made it bitter sweet but he still played his part when he was in the game and was able to finish his career with back to back Gold Balls.
