Bamberg-Ehrhardt (14-0) vs. Southside Christian (13-0)
The Red Raiders have marched into the title game with a stingy defense, allowing only four double-digit outings on the year, with Hannah-Pamplico’s 22 as the high-water mark in the first round of the playoffs.. Bamberg-Ehrhardt hasn’t been overwhelming opponents, they just methodically take teams apart with the old-school approach of running the football and stopping the run. A trio of backs have stood out in the playoffs, with Quniton Banks, Nick Folk, and [player_tooltip player_id="91201" first="Quincy" last="Bias"] all piling up yardage. Last week’s 7-6 win over C. E. Murray was a defensive war, with the War Eagles scoring in the first quarter and the Raiders stopping a two point conversion. Offensively, that was it for C.E. Murray, as Bamberg-Ehrhardt took the lead in the second quarter and made the 7 points stand up.
Speaking of stingy defenses, there’s Southside Christian. The Sabres are allowing just 4.5 points per game, and have allowed 13 total points in the third and fourth rounds of the playoffs combined. [player_tooltip player_id="91186" first="Michael" last="Kennedy"] leads the way for the Sabres up front, and Southside Christian has an opportunistic, ball-hawking secondary led by Jayvion Sherman. Offensively, [player_tooltip player_id="89349" first="Ja’Corey" last="Martin"] has been a standout for the Sabres, as the dual-threat QB has thrown for 22 touchdowns. The Sabres’ also have a stout running game, with [player_tooltip player_id="91241" first="Tyler" last="Sonneborn"] and the rest of the offensive line leading the way.
