The Class 4A state championship is set for 7PM on December 3rd at UCO. It’ll be a battle between two perennial powers in Oklahoma as #1 Tuttle squares off with #4 Clinton for the state championship. Prep Redzone Oklahoma will have the most in-depth championship preview and state title game content that you will find anywhere!. In this post, we take a look at the players to watch for Tuttle as they go after their second state championship in the last four seasons.
Canon West Canon West 5'11" | RB Tuttle | 2022 State OK – 2022 Running Back
For the second straight year, Tuttle lost running back Tyler Woodson Tyler Woodson 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB Tuttle | 2023 State OK to injury and for the second straight year, senior running back Canon West Canon West 5'11" | RB Tuttle | 2022 State OK had to step up. He’s not only stepped up this season but he is absolutely carrying the Tigers on the offensive side of the ball here in the playoffs. West has over 1,500 yards rushing and over 30 touchdowns on the season. West has upped his workload in the playoffs and it’s hard to think that they won’t do the same thing in the title game on Friday night. West is coming off a semifinal against Poteau where he carried the ball 40 times in the win.
Mason Dennis Mason Dennis 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Tuttle | 2023 State OK – 2023 Quarterback
Although Tuttle is a heavy run football team led by West at running back, they can also drop back and pass it with junior quarterback Mason Dennis Mason Dennis 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Tuttle | 2023 State OK . The Tuttle signal caller, in our opinion, is one of the toughest quarterbacks in Class 4A based on what we’ve seen from him this season. Simply put, he’s not afraid to take a hit. He’ll wait in the pocket for the perfect time to release the ball, even if that means taking a big hit. And he keeps getting up. Like plenty of players on this Tuttle team, Dennis is a physical football player and with that, you have to be a tough football player. He keeps on coming back for more.
Parrish Terry Parrish Terry 6'6" | 245 lbs | DL Tuttle | 2022 State OK – 2022 Defensive Lineman
Tuttle has one of the best defensive units in the state, regardless of class. That’s the way Tuttle wants to play, especially in this title game. They’re going to run the football and play hard-hitting defense. Leading that defensive unit is the senior defensive lineman Parrish Terry Parrish Terry 6'6" | 245 lbs | DL Tuttle | 2022 State OK . The Tigers have a tremendous amount of size on the line of scrimmage compared to other 4A teams and Terry is one of them. On the defensive line, Terry will look to cause as much havoc as possible and force a Clinton team that wants to run the ball as well, into passing situations. Terry has been lights out this season as a senior.
