L’Anse Creuse North FS/QB Tommy Ches Tommy Ches 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB L'Anse Creuse North | 2024 MI
Ches started on Varsity this season and overall performed very well. At the safety position, he’s displayed a high IQ and good fundamentals which have paid off in a few interceptions. He’s not too aggressive or passive on the defensive side, which is good. Offensively, he’s a decent quarterback who has a big arm, but I would like to see the arm strength and general accuracy increase. On his tape he lined up as a receiver, then ended up running a fake reverse as he threw to a wide-open receiver. With plays like that, Ches is going to be utilized in many different ways next season and I’m looking forward to seeing improvement.
Utica WR/S Zachary Conley
Conley runs great routes and is a goof 50/50 ball receiver standing at 6’2. He demonstrates good speed and decent elusiveness after the catch, though great elusiveness would really help his game. He lines up on the outside as a good big #1 target, and I’m interested to see his play translate to the varsity level. As for defense, Conley had a great season posting 4 INT’s and a forced fumble. He Conley has good awareness and ball skills, though I would like him to become much more aggressive in run defense.
Anchor Bay QB/S Alex Gerard Alex Gerard 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Anchor Bay | 2024 MI
Gerard is a very good QB and has the potential to be great. He throws a nice spiral with good throw power and runs a lot of play-action. His throws have great touch and he’s a capable runner. I could not find enough film to Gerard at the safety position to judge him. Though there is a quarterback battle in Anchor Bay, and I’m interested to see what role Gerard plays next season.
Utica Ford WR/FS Jack Nilson
The MAC White is stacked with safety and receiver talent, and Nilson is a great up and comer for Utica Ford. As a receiver he’s a reliable pass catcher who is able to get open and get yards. Defensively, he’s aware and decently aggressive. Nilson will undoubtedly be improved in 2022 and I can’t wait to see what he can do.
